Varèse Sarabande Records has announced a soundtrack album for the CBC & Netflix original series Anne with an “E”. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Amin Bhatia (X Company, Detention) and Ari Posner (Flashpoint, Johnny Test, Northern Rescue). Also included is the theme song Ahead by a Century by The Tragically Hip. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 27, 2019 (click here to download/stream) and physically on January 24, 2020. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. Premiering on Friday, May 12, is the Amazon original series I Love Dick created by Jill Soloway & Sarah Gubbins based on Chris Kraus’ 1997 novel/memoir and starring Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Hahn, Griffin Dunne and Roberta Colindrez. Ari Posner and Amin Bhatia are composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Anne. The show is created by Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad, Flesh and Bone) based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables and stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Lucas Jade Zumann, Dalila Bela, Corinne Koslo and Aymeric Jett Montaz. The drama centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890s who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, mistakenly is sent to live with an aging sister and brother.

The show centers on a group of doctors and nurses from Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and other allied countries saving lives and limbs in a war zone military hospital modeled on a real facility in Afghanistan. Deborah Kara Unger, Michelle Borth, Elias Koteas, Terry Chen, Arnold Pinnock and Luke Mably are starring. The show’s music is composed by Edmund Butt (The Dark, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes) and additional music is written by Samuel Sim (The Deep).
