Danny Lux (Grey’s Anatomy, Manifest, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, Halloween: Resurrection) is composing the original music for the new NBC drama The Irrational. The show is created by Arika Lisanne Mittman (La Brea, Timeless) inspired by Dan Ariely’s 2008 book Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions and stars Jesse L. Martin, Maahra Hill, Molly Kunz, Travina Springer and Arash DeMaxi. The series revolves around a world-renowned professor of behavioral science as he lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, corporations and law enforcement.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Manifest’ Released

WaterTower Music has released the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Manifest. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Danny Lux (Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal, Halloween: Resurrection, Boston Legal, Station 19). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Manifest is created by Jeff Rake and stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Athena Karkanis, Jack Messina, Matt Long, Parveen Kaur, Holly Taylor, Daryl Edwards and Ty Doran.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight. The show’s original music is composed by Danny Lux (Grey’s Anatomy, Halloween: Resurrection, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, My Name Is Earl). Also premiering tomorrow is the CBS drama Magnum P.I. developed by Peter M. Lenkov & Eric Guggenheim based on the classic 80s series and starring Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast & Furious, Crazy Rich Asians) & Keith Power (MacGyver, Hawaii Five-0) have scored the first episode and Power is composing the music for the rest of the season. NBC’s ‘Manifest’ to Feature Music by Danny Lux

Danny Lux is scoring the upcoming NBC drama Manifest. The show is created by Jeff Rake (The Mysteries of Laura) and stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J. R. Ramirez, Parveen Kaur and Luna Blaise. The series centers on a group of people on a plane who survive a turbulent flight only to discover that the world has progressed five years during the period they were in the air. Rake is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television and Compari Entertainment production with Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump), Jack Rapke (Cast Away, Flight) and David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me) who also directed the pilot episode.

girlfriends-dayPremiering on Tuesday, February 14, is the Netflix original movie Girlfriend’s Day directed by Michael Stephenson and starring Bob Odenkirk, Amber Tamblyn, Natasha Lyonne. The film’s original music is composed by Bobby Tahouri (Husk, Across the Hall, Rise of the Tomb Raider video game). Girlfriend’s Day follows an unemployed greeting card writer must who gets caught up in a conspiracy and must create the perfect card for a new holiday to save his skin. The comedy will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday.

planet-earth-iiPremiering in the U.S. on Saturday, February 18, is the BBC Earth documentary series Planet Earth narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception) has composed the show’s main theme. Jacob Shea (Through the Wormhole) and Jasha Klebe (Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom) have written the score for Bleeding Fingers Music. The film is directed by Leslie Libman, written by Anne-Marie Hess (Perfect High) and stars Natasha Bassett as pop icon Britney Spears, alongside Clayton Chitty as Kevin Federline and Nathan Keyes as Justin Timberlake. The drama follows the tumultuous story of Spears – her rise to fame, fall from grace and eventual resurrection. Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch (The Kennedys, The Secret Life of Monroe) and Joan Harrison are executive producing the project.
