Hallmark Channel has released the first soundtrack album for the Hallmark original series The Way Home. The album features the songs from the show performed by cast members Sadie Laflamme-Snow, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, Jordan Doww and Bianca Melchior. Also included are selections from the drama’s original score composed by Keith Power (Magnum P.I., Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver, Criminal). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Powe’s Nick & Alice Theme and several songs after the jump. The Way Home is created by Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke & Marly Reedand also stars Andie MacDowell, Spencer MacPherson Julia Tomasone, Devin Cecchetto and Dan Jeannotte.

Score Album for CBS’ ‘Hawaii Five-0’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release the first-ever score album for CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 reboot. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Avengers: Age of Ultron) & Keith Power (Magnum P.I., MacGyver, Criminal). Also included is the drama’s main title theme originally written by Morton Stevens for the 1960/70s series and rearranged by Tyler. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 7 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. CBS Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring the theme, a score suite and ten songs from the drama back in 2011.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Last of Us developed by Craig Mazin & Neil Druckmann based on the video game franchise and starring Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Murray Bartlett, Anna Torv, Nick Offerman, Nico Parker, Storm Reid, Merle Dandridge and Melanie Lynskey. The show’s original music is composed by Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Narcos: Mexico) & David Fleming (Hillbilly Elegy, The Unforgivable, Blue Planet II). Also premiering today is the second season of the Showtime original series Your Honor developed by Peter Moffat based on the Israeli series Kvodo and starring Bryan Cranston, Hope Davis, Hunter Doohan, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Sofia Black D’Elia, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Flores Jr. and Carmen Ejogo. David Buckley (The Sandman, Nobody, The Good Wife, The Forbidden Kingdom, Papillon, The Stranger) has composed the original music for the new season, taking over from Volker Bertelmann who scored Season 1. CBS’ ‘Magnum P.I.’ Reboot to Feature Music by Keith Power
Keith Power is scoring the upcoming CBS drama Magnum P.I. The series is developed by Peter M. Lenkov & Eric Guggenheim and stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang. The show is a modern take on the classic 80s series and centers on a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek: Beyond) has directed the pilot episode, which Power co-scored with Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) who will produce Power’s score for the rest of the season.

Opening in most theaters is Disney’s new film adaptation of The Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreau and starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyongo’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Neel Sethi and Christopher Walken. The film’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2). ‘Criminal’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Criminal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Now You See Me) and Keith Power (Hawaii Five-0). Also included is the original song Drift and Fall Again performed by Madsonik (Tyler’s electronic artist name) featuring Lola Marsh. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 15, 2016 and physically in May. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Brian Tyler and Keith Power have taken over scoring duties on the upcoming thriller Criminal. The movie is directed by Ariel Vromen (The Iceman) and stars Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds, Alice Eve and Gal Gadot. The film centers on a dangerous criminal who has the memories and skills of a dead CIA agent implanted into his brain in order to track down and stop an international terrorist. Douglas Cook & David Weisberg (The Rock, Double Jeopardy) wrote the screenplay.

Premiering on Tuesday, April 29, is the new comedy Playing House created by Jessica St. Clair & Lennon Parham who also star in the series alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Jane Kaczmarek, Brad Morris, Zach Woods and Gerry Bednob. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Beth Urdang and Kerri Drootin are the music supervisors. Playing House follows a mother to-be who asks her single and career-driven best friend to return home from her job overseas to attend her baby shower. The comedy will air every Tuesday night on USA.
