Premiering tonight is the documentary Country Music directed and produced by Ken Burns. Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album in two different versions featuring a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis & others. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the 8-part documentary, which is premiering tonight on PBS.

Premiering on Thursday, September 19, is the comedy First Wives Club developed by Tracy Oliver based on the 1996 movie of the same title and starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, No Good Nick) is composing the show’s original score. Robin Foster Scoring Netflix’s ‘Criminal’

Robin Foster (Anthropoid, Untogether, Metro Manila) is the composer of the upcoming Netflix original series Criminal. The show is created by George Kay & Jim Field Smith and will comprise of 12 unique stories set in 4 different countries: France, Spain, Germany and the UK. Cast members include Katherine Kelly, Lee Ingleby & Nicholas Pinnock (in the UK), Margot Bancilhon, Laurent Lucas & Stéphane Jobert (in France), Eva Meckbach, Sylvester Groth & Florence Kasumba (in Germany) and Jorge Bosch, José Ángel Egido & Nuria Mencía (in Spain).

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is Disney’s new film adaptation of The Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreau and starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyongo’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Neel Sethi and Christopher Walken. The film’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie. Click here for the full album details. ‘Criminal’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Criminal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Now You See Me) and Keith Power (Hawaii Five-0). Also included is the original song Drift and Fall Again performed by Madsonik (Tyler’s electronic artist name) featuring Lola Marsh. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 15, 2016 and physically in May. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The film centers on a dangerous criminal who has the memories and skills of a dead CIA agent implanted into his brain in order to track down and stop an international terrorist. Douglas Cook & David Weisberg (The Rock, Double Jeopardy) wrote the screenplay.

Haim Mazar has signed on to score the upcoming action thriller Criminal. The film is directed by Ariel Vromen and stars Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds, Alice Eve and Gal Gadot. The movie revolves around a dangerous criminal who has the memories and skills of a dead CIA agent implanted into his brain in order to track down and stop an international terrorist. Douglas Cook & David Weisberg (The Rock, Double Jeopardy) have written the screenplay. Chris Bender (The Butterfly Effect, We’re the Millers), J.C. Spink (A History of Violence), Mark Gill (Olympus Has Fallen) and Matt O’Toole (Before I Go to Sleep) are producing the project.
