Studiocanal has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2006 French/Romanian horror thriller Them (Ils) written and directed by David Moreau & Xavier Palud, produced by Richard Grandpierre and starring Olivia Bonamy and Michaël Cohen. The album features the film’s original music composed by René-Marc Bini (Savage Nights, Borders, A.L.F., Black Ocean, Sounds of Sand). Jason Hill Scoring Prime Video’s ‘Them: The Scare’
Jason Hill (Mindhunter, The Confession Killer, City on Fire, Magazine Dreams, Extrapolations, Voir, Love, Death & Robots) is the new composer of the Prime Video horror anthology series Them. Season 2, entitled Them: The Scare, is created by Little Marvin and stars Deborah Ayorinde, Pam Grier, Luke James, Jeremy Bobb, Joshua J. Williams, Wayne Knight, Charles Brice, Carlito Olivero and Iman Shumpert. The 8-parter is set in 1991 and follows an LAPD Homicide Detective who is assigned to a new case: the gruesome murder of a foster home mother that has left even the most hardened detectives shaken.
Michael Giacchino to Direct and Score ‘Them!’ Reboot
Deadline is reporting that Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, Ratatouille, The Batman, The Incredibles) will make his feature directorial debut on a reboot of the 1954 monster movie Them! for Warner Bros. Pictures. He is also planning to score the remake of the Gordon Douglas-directed and Bronislau Kaper-scored film, which centers on the discovery of a huge nest of irradiated ants are in the New Mexico desert that becomes a national threat when two young queen ants and their consorts escape to set-up new nests.
Soundtrack Album for Amazon Series ‘Them’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon horror anthology series Them. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Mark Korven (The Witch, The Lighthouse, Cube, The Terror: Infamy, In the Tall Grass). Also included are four songs performed by The Watts Wonders. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Them is created by Little Marvin and stars Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Alison Pill, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Melody Hurd and Ryan Kwanten. The first season of the series is set in the 1950s and follows a Black family who move from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood, when their idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight.
