Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s Canadian limited series Below. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 8 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Premiering tomorrow, October 5 is the CW drama Private Eyes West Coast created by Jennifer Kassabian & Sarah Dodd and starring Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson. The show’s original music is composed by Shawn Pierce (Haven, Motive, Slasher, The Bridge). The spinoff to the original 2017 Private Eyes series (scored by Pierce) follows Shade & Angie as they have left behind their P.I. firm and settled into a new life on the west coast, but their new quiet life is shaken when a night out lands them at the scene of a murder. The drama just premiered in Canada earlier this week on GLOBAL and will air in the U.S. Monday nights on The CW.
Premiering on Wednesday, October 7, is the Prime Video limited series Carrie written by Mike Flanagan based on Stephen King’s debut novel and starring Summer Howell, Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Joel Oulette, Alison Thornton, Amber Midthunder, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Josie Tota and Matthew Lillard. Making its linear premiere tonight is the Showtime original series Dexter: Resurrection developed by Clyde Phillips and starring Michel C. Hall, Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jack Alcott, Kadia Saraf, Emilia Suárez, Dominic Fumusa, James Remar and Peter Dinklage. Pat Irwin (Nurse Jackie, But I’m a Cheerleader, The Good Cop, Feed the Beast, Bored to Death) who previously scored 2021’s Dexter: New Blood and last year’s Dexter: Original Sin has composed the show’s original music. The crime drama, which takes place two weeks after and continues to events of New Blood, premiered this past Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.
