Nicholas Pike (Critters 2, Captain Ron, Return to Me, The Shining, Fear Dot Com, Sleepwalkers, Viva Verdi!, Star Kid) has released a new soundtrack album for the 2008 supernatural horror thriller Parasomnia written and directed by William Malone and starring Dylan Purcell, Jeffrey Combs, Timothy Bottoms, Sean Young and Cherilyn Wilson The album features the composer’s newly remastered original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s first track (In the Beginning) below. BSX Records has previously released the original soundtrack album as a limited edition CD in 2011.

‘Odds Are…’ Soundtrack Album Released

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror prequel The First Omen co-written and directed by Arkasha Stevenson and starring Nell Tiger Free, Tawkeef Barhom, Ralph Ineson, Sonia Braga and Bill Nighy. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Korven (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Black Phone, Cube, Night Swim, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, The Peripheral). Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, The Babadook, Overlord, Macbeth, The Oxford Murders, The Pope’s Exorcist, The Mustang, Assassin’s Creed) has composed the film’s original music. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Model House is written and directed by Derek Pike and stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Corey Anne Roberts, Kyra Santoro, Chris Zylka, Hailee Lautenbach, Priscilla Huggins Ortiz, Natalie Nootenboom and Phillip Andre Botello. The movie follows five swimsuit models shooting a lucrative swimwear campaign at a waterfall 100 miles north of Los Angeles, when two intruders interrupt the shoot and the girls are forced to post a fake donation link to their social media pages until $1 million is stolen from their followers.

Apple TV+’s ‘Amazing Stories’ to Feature Music by Harry Gregson-Williams, Ramin Djawadi, Mark Isham & Others
The full composer line-up of the first episodes of Apple TV+’s reboot of the anthology series Amazing Stories has been revealed. Nicholas Pike (Critters 2, Return to Me, Captain Ron) has scored the first episode, The Cellar (premiering on March 6), directed by Chris Long (The Americans) and starring Victoria Pedretti and Dylan O’Brien. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man) & Brandon Campbell (Slender Man, The Thinning) have co-scored the second episode, The Heat (premiering on March 13), directed by Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard, The Losers) and starring E’myri Crutchfield, Hailey Kilgore and Shane Paul McGhie. Episode 3, entitled Dynoman and the Volt (premiering on March 20), directed by Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me) and starring Robert Forster & Tyler Crumley is scored by Noah Sorota (Falling Skies, Jinn).
Stephen King Soundtrack Collection Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the full details of the Stephen King Soundtrack Collection. The 8-CD set features 2-CD deluxe editions for the 2003 horror thriller Dreamcatcher directed by Lawrence Kasdan featuring the film’s expanded score composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, Maleficent, King Kong, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and the post-apocalyptic mini-series The Stand starring Gary Sinise, Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, Ray Walston, Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis featuring the show’s expanded score by W. G. Snuffy Walden (The West Wing, Friday Night Lights) who received an Emmy nomination for his score. Also included is a reissue of the soundtrack album for 1984’s Firestarter starring Drew Barrymore featuring original music by Tangerine Dream (Legend, Risky Business), as well as the first-ever commercial release of the score for the 1997 mini-series The Shining on three discs featuring music by Nicholas Pike (Return to Me, Captain Ron).

Expected to top the weekend box office is the drama Sully directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney. The film’s original music is composed by Christian Jacob and The Tierney Sutton Band. Eastwood has contributed the score’s theme and also co-wrote the end titles song Flying Home based on his theme. Also opening wide is the thriller When the Bough Breaks directed by Jon Cassar and starring Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Romany Malco, Michael K. Williams, Theo Rossi and Jaz Sinclair. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Nicholas Pike to Score Stephen King’s ‘Bag of Bones’
Nicholas Pike is the composer of the upcoming miniseries Bag of Bones. The project based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel is directed by Mick Garris who previously helmed the TV adaptations of The Stand and The Shining. The four-hour miniseries stars Pierce Brosnan as a man who is unable to stop grieving for his deceased wife. After returning to the lakeside retreat they shared, he inadvertently gets involved in a local custody battle – while having nightmares about his dead wife. Melissa George, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni Rose, William Schallert, Jason Priestley and Caitlin Carmichael are co-starring.
