Netflix Music will release a new soundtrack album for the streamer’s anthology series Black Mirror. Premiering on Tuesday, April 8, is the Netflix original documentary series The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox directed by Greg Whiteley about the historic sports team 2024 season. Brian Reitzell Scoring David Slade’s ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘Plaything’
Composer Brian Reitzell (Stranger Than Fiction, Friday Night Lights, Beginners, Red Riding Hood, Relic, The Bling Ring) is reuniting with director David Slade (Hard Candy, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) on the Season 7 episode Plaything of the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror. The episode is directed by Slade, written by Charlie Brooker and stars Peter Capaldi, Lewis Gribben, James Nelson Joyce, Will Poulter, Michele Austin and Asim Chaudhry. Plaything is set in a near-future London and centers on an eccentric murder suspect who is linked to an unusual video game from the 1990s — a game populated by cute, evolving artificial lifeforms.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action comedy Cocaine Bear directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Christian Convery-Jennings, Alden Ehrenreich, Margo Martindale, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Brooklynn Prince and Ray Liotta. Also opening nationwide is the faith-based drama Jesus Revolution directed by Jon Erwin & Brent McCorkle (I Can Only Imagine, Steve McQueen: American Icon) and starring Joel Courtney, Anna Grace Barlow, Jonathan Roumie, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Kelsey Grammer. Brian Reitzell Scoring David Slade’s ‘Dark Harvest’
Composer Brian Reitzell (Stranger Than Fiction, Friday Night Lights, Beginners, Relic) is reteaming with director David Slade (Hard Candy) on the upcoming fantasy horror thriller Dark Harvest. The film is based on Norman Partridge’s 2007 novel of the same title and stars Casey Likes, E’myri Crutchfield, Jeremy Davies, Elizabeth Reaser and Luke Kirby. The movie is set in a small Midwestern town, in which every fall a supernatural specter makes its way toward the town’s church, where gangs of teenage boys await their chance to confront the legendary nightmare in an annual harvest rite of life and death.

Opening in most theaters is the Saw reboot Spiral directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and starring Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella and Marisol Nichols. The film’s original score is composed by Charlie Clouser (Resident Evil: Extinction, Numbers, Death Sentence) who has written the music for all previous Saw movies. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Thor: The Dark World) has composed the film’s original music. Brian Reitzell to Score Natalie Erika James’ ‘Relic’
Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, 30 Days of Night, Stranger Than Fiction, Beginners) has been hired to score the upcoming horror drama Relic. The film is directed by Natalie Erika James and stars Emily Mortimer, Robyn Nevin and Bella Heathcote. The movie centers on three women – a daughter, mother and grandmother – who are haunted by a manifestation of aged dementia that takes over their family home. James also co-wrote the screenplay with Christian White.

‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘Bandersnatch’ to Feature Original Score by Brian Reitzell
Brian Reitzell has composed the original music for the new Black Mirror episode Bandersnatch. The episode directed by David Slade (Hard Candy, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and starring Fionn Whitehead, Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry is set in 1984 and follows a young programmer who begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge. Series creator Charlie Brooker has written the script and is also executive producing the special interactive episode with Annabel Jones.
