Premiering tonight is the new Starz original series P-Valley created by Katori Hall and stars Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton, Harriett D. Foy, J. Alphonse Nicholso, Parker Sawyers, Skyler Joy, Elarica Johnson, Tyler Lepley and Dan J. Johnson. Reza Safinia (Filly Brown, Warrior, The Trust, Birth of the Dragon) has composed the original score for the first episodes of the show. Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring three songs from the drama, including the main titles theme Down in the Valley by Jucee Froot. Premiering on Tuesday, July 14, is the HBO documentary Showbiz Kids written and directed by Alex Winter about the shared experiences of prominent former child stars and the personal and professional price of fame and failure on a child. The movie, which features interviews with Henry Thomas, Mara Wilson, Todd Bridges, Cameron Boyce, Milla Jovovich,Evan Rachel Wood, Jada Pinkett Smith, Wil Wheaton, among otherss, features an original score composed by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and his sons Spencer Tweedy and Sammy Tweedy. Premiering tomorrow, September 2, is the documentary Untouchable directed by Ursula Macfarlane. The movie chronicles the recent fall of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and his years of alleged abuse. The film’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, This Beautiful Fantastic, Calibre, The Imposter). The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.

Also premiering tomorrow is Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe: The Movie co-written and directed by Rebecca Sugar and starring Zach Callison, Estelle, Michaela Dietz and Deedee Magno Hall. Aivi Tran & Steven Velema (aka Aivi & Surasshu) have composed the film’s original score. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie written by Rebecca Sugar and performed by Chance The Rapper, Estelle, Patti LuPone, Uzo Aduba, Gallant, Aimee Mann, among others. The episode, entitled School Spirit, is directed by Mike Gan (Burn), written by Gan, Patrick Casy & Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog, Dorm Daze) and stars Corey Fogelmanis, Annie Q., Jessi Case, Julian Works, Philip Labes and Hugo Armstrong. The episode follows a group of social outcasts who are stuck in weekend detention and then confronted by the school’s legendary hauntings.
