Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Boy Erased, Enemy, The Gift, Martha Marcy May Marlene) have been hired to score the upcoming AMC original series NOS4A2. The show is developed by Jami O’Brien based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name and stars Ashleigh Cummings, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Virginia Kull, Jahkara Smith and Zachary Quinto. The supernatural horror drama tells the story of a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of his imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. O’Brien also serves as the project’s showrunner and is executive producing the AMC Studios & Tornante Television production with Hill and Lauren Corrao. NOS4A2 will premiere on April 30, 2019 on AMC. Visit the official show website for updates.

Bensi & Jurriaans also have the third season of Netflix’s Ozark and the second season of Starz’s American Gods (set to premiere on March 10) coming up. The composers’ recent feature projects include Veronika Franz’s  & Severin Fiala’s The Lodge, which premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Neon for a theatrical release later this year, as well as the Naomi Watts-starring thriller The Wolf Hour and the documentary Bedslam, both of which also premiered at Sundance.
