Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the Fox Live television event Rent. The album features the songs from the television adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award- & Pulitzer Price-winning stage musical performed by Vanessa Hudgens, Brandon Victor Dixon, Mario, Tinashe, Kiersey Clemons, Jordan Fisher, Brennin Hunt and Valentina. Also included is Keala Settle’s solo performance of Seasons of Love. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 1 and physically on March 1. Rent is executive produced by Marc Platt (Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, Grease: Live) and tells the story of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams during a time of great social and political turmoil.
