The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action thriller Motor City directed by Potsy Ponciroli and starring Alan Ritchson, Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, Ben McKenzie, Lionel Boyce and Amar Chadha-Patel.The film’s original music is composed by Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Desperate Housewives, Deepwater Horizon, Lone Survivor, Skyscraper, Ender’s Game, DC League of Super-Pets). Opening semi-wide in around 700 theaters is the sci-fi/horror thriller Her Private Hell co-written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starring Sophie Thatcher, Havana Rose Liu, Kristine Froseth, Charles Melton, Aoi Yamada, Shioli Kutsuna, Dougray Scott, Diego Calva and Hidetoshi Nishijima. Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Body Double, Blow Out, The Howling) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a couple of tracks by Julian Winding who has provided additional music, today. Accidental Editions has released a soundtrack album for Sebastián Lelio’s musical drama The Wave (La Ola). The album features the original songs from the movie written by composer Matthew Herbert (Disobedience, Gloria Bell, A Fantastic Woman, The Wonder, The Responder, The Beast Must Die, Hot Milk, The Cave, Temple) in collaboration with several female Chilean musicians (including Ana Tijoux, Camila Moreno & Javiera Parra) and performed by the movie’s cast. The Wave is co-written and directed by Lelio and stars Daniela López, Avril Aurora, Lola Bravo and Paulina Cortés. The movie is inspired by the wave of “feminist May” mass protests that swept Chile in early 2018 and follows a music student who gets involved in the growing movement on her campus and revisits her own experiences of mistreatment.
