Opening semi-wide in around 700 theaters is the World War II action thriller Lucky Strike co-written and directed by Rod Lurie and starring Scott Eastwood, Colin Hanks, Taylor John Smith and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. Larry Groupé (The Contender, Commander-in-Chief, Nothing But the Truth, Resurrecting the Champ, The Outpost, The Senior, Line of Fire, Straw Dogs) has composed the film’s original music. The film’s original music is composed by Ernest Pipó (Summer 1993). Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past April when the movie opened in France. Opening in a single Los Angeles theater today is the musical drama The Wave (La Ola) co-written and directed by Sebastian Lelio and starring Daniela López, Avril Aurora, Lola Bravo and Paulina Cortés. Matthew Herbert (Disobedience, A Fantastic Woman, Gloria Bell, The Wonder, The Beast Must Die, The Responder, Hot Milk, The Cave, Temple) has composed the film’s original music, in collaboration with several female Chilean musicians (including Ana Tijoux, Camila Moreno & Javiera Parra). Accidental Editions has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie last summer when the drama opened in Chile.
