Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Words of War. The album features the film’s original music composed by Snorri Hallgrímsson (Chalk the Line, Chasing the Present, Innocence) and produced by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Surface, Moonhaven, Electric Dreams). ‘Surface’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Platoon has released a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Surface. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Tóti Guðnason (Lamb, Cold Copy, Deliver Us, Azrael) and produced by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Moonhaven, Electric Dreams, Gimme Shelter, Chasing the Present). Ólafur Arnalds Scoring Matthieu Rytz’s ‘Deep Rising’
Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Moonhaven, Electric Dreams, Chasing the Present) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary Deep Rising. The film is directed by Matthieu Rytz (Anote’s Ark) and and illuminates the relationship between the deep ocean and sustaining life on Earth. The documentary narrated by Jason Momoa follows a mining startup company as it pursues funding, public favor, and permission from the International Seabed Authority to mine wide swaths of the Pacific Ocean floor.

Olafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Defending Jacob, Electric Dreams, Chasing the Present) is scoring the new AMC+ original series Moonhaven. The show is created by Peter Ocko (Lodge 49, Pushing Daisies) and stars Emma McDonald, Joe Manganiello and Dominic Monaghan. The sci-fi thriller is set 100 years in the future and follows a lunar cargo pilot and smuggler who finds herself accused of a crime and marooned on Moonhaven, a utopian community set on a 500 square mile Garden of Eden built on the Moon to find solutions to the problems that will soon end civilization on Mother Earth.
‘Defending Jacob’ Soundtrack Album Details
Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ limited series Defending Jacob. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle). Also included is the series’ theme written by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 24 and will be available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes. Defending Jacob is created by Mark Bomback based on the 2012 novel of the same title by William Landay and stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, Pablo Schreiber, Cherry Jones, Betty Gabriel and Sakina Jaffrey. Moderna Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Chasing the Present. The album features the film’s original music composed by Snorri Hallgrímsson and produced by Olafur Arnalds (Broadchurch). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 13, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Chasing the Present is directed by Mark Waters and follows a materially successful man on a worldwide journey of self discovery as he explores why a person who seemingly has it all can still suffer from debilitating anxiety and in the process he uncovers deep truths about who and what he is.

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. The album features the music from the series, including the main title theme composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia), as well as the composer’s score for the episodes The Commuter (for which he received an Emmy Award nomination) and The Father Thing. Also included is the music for three episodes composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane), two episodes by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia), one episode by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch), as well as two episodes by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It), one of which he co-scored with BT (The Fast & the Furious, Monster).
