Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic dramedy Fly Me to the Moon directed by Greg Berlanti and starring Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Ray Romano, Jim Rash, Woody Harrelson, Anna Garcia, Nick Dillenburg and Colin Woodell. The film’s original music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). Platoon has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Longlegs written and directed by Osgood Perkins and starring Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt and Kiernan Shipka. Zilgi has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well two tracks by Eugenio Battaglia and a song by Melody Carrillo & Elizabeth Wight today. ‘Dandelion’ Soundtrack Album Details

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Dandelion. The album features the original music from the film composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Sing Sing, She Came to Me, Bardo) & Aaron Dessner (C’mon C’mon, Cyrano, Transpecos), including both the score and the original songs performed by cast members KiKi Layne, Thomas Doherty, Brady Stablein and Grace Kaiser. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the first score track and song after the jump. Dandelion is written and directed by Nicole Riegel and also stars Melanie Nicholls-King and Jake Stablein. The movie follows a struggling Cincinnati singer-songwriter who falls into an intoxicating romance that leads her to a deeper appreciation of her artistic journey and the discovery of a voice that is authentically her own.

Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon, Transpecos) & Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) (of The National) have been hired to compose the original music and score for the upcoming romantic drama Dandelion. The film is directed by Nicole Riegel (Holler) and stars KiKi Layne as a struggling but determined Cincinnati singer-songwriter who reluctantly takes a last-ditch-effort gig at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota, where she meets a guitarist who walked away from his dream long ago.

Taylor Swift’s Original Song ‘Carolina’ from ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ Released

Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the horror comedy Studio 666 directed by BJ McDonnell and starring Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Rami Jaffee, Whitney Cummings, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega, Leslie Grossman and Jeff Garlin. The film’s original score is composed by Roy Mayorga (best known as the drummer of Ministry, Hellyeah and Stone Sour). John Carpenter has written the theme song and Foo Fighters have contributed the original songs for the fictional band Dream Widow. Also opening wide following an awards-qualifying release in December is the movie musical Cyrano directed by Joe Wright and starring Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Ben Mendelsohn. The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (C’mon C’mon, Jockey) have composed the film’s original score and songs. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ songs and score last year. Already playing in select theaters since this past Wednesday, December 29, is the drama Jockey co-written and directed by Clint Bentley and starring Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker, Moises Arias, Logan Cormier, Colleen Hartnett. The film’s original music is composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the movie, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed by Sony Pictures Classics.

Opening at New York’s Paris Theatre today before coming out in more theaters in early January and before premiering on Netflix on January 21, is the spy thriller Munich: The Edge of War directed by Christian Schwochow and starring George MacKay, Jeremy Irons, Jannis Niehwöhner, Sandra Hüller, August Diehl, Liv Lisa Fries, Erin Doherty and Martin Wuttke. Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Emma, Vanity Fair, Vita & Virginia, The Split, The ABC Murders) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. ‘Cyrano’ Soundtrack Album Released

Decca Records has released the full soundtrack album for the musical drama Cyrano. The album features the songs from the movie written by Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner (of The National), with lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser and performed by cast members Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Ben Mendelsohn & others, as well as selections of Bryce & Aaron’s originals score performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. Also included is The National’s original song Someone Desperate, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. A CD version is available to order here and a vinyl edition (to be released on January 14, 2022) is available for pre-order on Amazon.

The track, which plays during the movie’s end credits, is written by Bryce Dessner, Aaron Dessner & Matt Berninger and performed by The National. A24 Music will release a soundtrack album for Mike Mills’ drama C’mon C’mon. The album features the film’s original score composed by Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, Transpecos, Big Sur). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, November 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (I Won’t Remember?) will already be available to stream/download tomorrow and can also be checked out below. C’mon C’mon is written and directed by Mills and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gaby Hoffmann and Woody Norman. The movie follows an artist left to take care of his precocious young nephew as they forge an unexpected bond over a cross country trip.
