Decca Records has announced the premiere vinyl release of the soundtrack album for the 2005 drama Pride and Prejudice directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Brenda Blethyn, Donald Sutherland, Rosamund Pike, Tom Hollander, Jena Malone, Penelope Wilton and Judi Dench. The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 20th anniversary, features the film’s Academy Award-nominated original score composed by Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Darkest Hour, Anna Karenina,V for Vendetta, Kubo and the Two Strings, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Bumblebee), performed by pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the English Chamber Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released on June 27 as a standard vinyl re-issue of the original soundtrack with original artwork, as well as a newly designed limited “deluxe” edition vinyl housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket featuring a 16-page booklet with rare photos. The Chemical Brothers in Talks to Score Joe Wright’s Sky Series ‘M. Son of the Century’
THR is reporting that The Chemical Brothers will be reuniting with director Joe Wright on the upcoming Sky original limited series M. Son of the Century. The show is directed by Wright (Atonement, Darkest Hour), written by Stefano Bises (ZeroZeroZero, The New Pope) & Davide Serino (The Bad Guy) based on Antonio Scurati’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Luca Marinelli. The 8-part historical drama chronicles the rise of Benito Mussolini as told from the inside, showing how the Italian fascist leader could bewitch a nation and transform the politics of the 20th century.
‘Cyrano’ Soundtrack Album Released
Decca Records has released the full soundtrack album for the musical drama Cyrano. The album features the songs from the movie written by Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner (of The National), with lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser and performed by cast members Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Ben Mendelsohn & others, as well as selections of Bryce & Aaron’s originals score performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. Also included is The National’s original song Someone Desperate, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. The film is directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Darkest Hour) and stars Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Julianne Moore, Wyatt Russell, Anthony Mackie and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie is based on A.J. Finn’s bestseller of the same title and follows an agoraphobic child psychologist who witnesses a crime while spying on her neighbors, leaving her to determine whether to alert the police. Tracy Letts (August: Osage County, Killer Joe) wrote the screenplay.

The full details of the soundtrack album for Joe Wright’s biographical drama Darkest Hour have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Kubo and the Two Strings, V for Vendetta, Paddington 2) who previously scored the director’s Atonement, Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina. Vikingur Olafsson is featured as the piano soloist on the composer’s score. The soundtrack will be released tomorrow, November 17 by Deutsche Grammophon.
