Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Battlefield V, Madame Web, Anatomy of a Scandal, Kon-Tiki, Blood Sacrifice, In a Better World, Ronja the Robber’s Daughter) has composed the original score for the new Swedish Netflix limited series A Couple of Lies (Bytet). The show is written by Amanda Högberg & Axel Stjärne based on the novel of the same name by Stefan Ahnhem and stars Emma Appleton, Fares Fares, Frida Gustavsson, Anna Bjelkerud, Jakob Oftebro, Magnus Krepper, Diarmuid Noyes and Lars Väringer. The 4-part psychological thriller directed by Kasper Barfoed (The Numbers Station, Summer of ’92) follows two couples whose dream holiday home swap spirals into something far more dangerous, leaving them unsure whether they can even trust the person they love.

‘Ronja the Robber’s Daughter’ Part 2 Soundtrack Album Announced
Music Super Circus will release a new soundtrack album for the Swedish Netflix original series Ronja the Robber’s Daughter (Ronja Rövardotter). The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second part composed by Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Battlefield V, Anatomy of a Scandal, Madame Web, Kon-Tiki, In a Better World). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 24 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s score from Part 1 in early 2024. Ronja the Robber’s Daughter is developed by Hans Rosenfeldt based on Astrid Lindgren’s fantasy tale of the same title and stars Kerstin Linden, Jack Bergenholtz-Henriksson, Pernilla August, Christopher Wagelin, Sverrir Gudnason, Maria Nohra, Krista Kosonen, Vera Vitali and Johan Ulveson.
‘The Chase’ (‘Six Jours’) Soundtrack Released
B Original has released a soundtrack album for the French thriller The Chase (Six jours). The album features the film’s original music composed by Johan Söderqvist (Let the Right One In, Battlefield V, Madame Web, Anatomy of a Scandal, Kon-Tiki, In a Better World). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s “overture” and title track below. The Chase is directed by Juan Carlos Medina and stars Sami Bouajila, Julie Gayet, Philippe Résimont, Anne Azoulay, Gilles Cohen, Dimitri Storoge, Yannick Choirat and Manon Azem. The movie follows a police officer who decides to revisit the unsolved kidnapping of a young girl 11 years ago when another child is abducted in a similar way just a few days before the case is closed forever.

Premiering on Tuesday, March 26, is the HBO original documentary The Truth vs. Alex Jones directed by Dan Reed and executive produced by Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller. The movie, which tells the story of how families whose children were murdered at Sandy Hook took on conspiracy giant Alex Jones in two courtroom trials, holding Jones and InfoWars to account for the myths they started spreading hours after the atrocity, premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and will premiere on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

The film is written and directed by Anders Walter (I Kill Giants) and stars Pilou Asbæk, Katrine Greis-Rosenthal, Peter Kurth, Morten Hee Andersen and Ulrich Thomsen. The movie tells the story of a headmaster couple whose high school is turned into an internment camp for German refugees during World War II and have to decide whether to help the refugees or stand firm in the Danish resistance against the Germans.
