Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Dandelion. The album features the original music from the film composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Sing Sing, She Came to Me, Bardo) & Aaron Dessner (C’mon C’mon, Cyrano, Transpecos), including both the score and the original songs performed by cast members KiKi Layne, Thomas Doherty, Brady Stablein and Grace Kaiser. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The movie follows a struggling Cincinnati singer-songwriter who falls into an intoxicating romance that leads her to a deeper appreciation of her artistic journey and the discovery of a voice that is authentically her own.

Aaron & Bryce Dessner to Compose Music for Nicole Riegel’s ‘Dandelion’
Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon, Transpecos) & Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) (of The National) have been hired to compose the original music and score for the upcoming romantic drama Dandelion. The film is directed by Nicole Riegel (Holler) and stars KiKi Layne as a struggling but determined Cincinnati singer-songwriter who reluctantly takes a last-ditch-effort gig at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota, where she meets a guitarist who walked away from his dream long ago.
‘Holler’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Gardener Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama Holler. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gene Back (Cowboys). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, November 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Holler is written and directed by Nicole Riegel and stars Jessica Barden, Pamela Adlon, Becky Ann Baker, Austin Amelio and Gus Halper. The movie is set in a forgotten pocket of Southern Ohio where American manufacturing and opportunity are dying up and follows a bright but rebellious teen who joins a dangerous scrap metal crew to pay for her education and get out of her small town when she is accepted to college.
