Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original anime series Dandelion. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, One Piece Film: Gold, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, My Little Monster). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title song (feat. Jonathan Underdown) below. Dandelion is based on the debut work by Gintama creator Hideaki Sorachi and directed by Daisuke Mataga. The 7-parter is set at an afterlife agency where angels guide lingering souls and follows two employees as they take on any challenge to help the dead find peace in their own offbeat style.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (July 12, 2024)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic dramedy Fly Me to the Moon directed by Greg Berlanti and starring Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Ray Romano, Jim Rash, Woody Harrelson, Anna Garcia, Nick Dillenburg and Colin Woodell. The film’s original music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). Platoon has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Dandelion. The album features the original music from the film composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Sing Sing, She Came to Me, Bardo) & Aaron Dessner (C’mon C’mon, Cyrano, Transpecos), including both the score and the original songs performed by cast members KiKi Layne, Thomas Doherty, Brady Stablein and Grace Kaiser. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The movie follows a struggling Cincinnati singer-songwriter who falls into an intoxicating romance that leads her to a deeper appreciation of her artistic journey and the discovery of a voice that is authentically her own.
Aaron & Bryce Dessner to Compose Music for Nicole Riegel’s ‘Dandelion’
Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon, Transpecos) & Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) (of The National) have been hired to compose the original music and score for the upcoming romantic drama Dandelion. The film is directed by Nicole Riegel (Holler) and stars KiKi Layne as a struggling but determined Cincinnati singer-songwriter who reluctantly takes a last-ditch-effort gig at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota, where she meets a guitarist who walked away from his dream long ago.
