Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon, Transpecos) & Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) (of The National) have been hired to compose the original music and score for the upcoming romantic drama Dandelion. The film is directed by Nicole Riegel (Holler) and stars KiKi Layne as a struggling but determined Cincinnati singer-songwriter who reluctantly takes a last-ditch-effort gig at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota, where she meets a guitarist who walked away from his dream long ago. Riegel is also producing the project with Griffin Drive Productions’ Rian Cahill (In the Shadow of the Moon, Dreamland), Adam Cobb and Pete McClellan. Aaron & Bryce Dessner also serve as executive producers. Dandelion is just starting principal photography this week and is set to be released in theaters in 2023 by IFC Films. (Deadline)
