Decca Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the musical drama Cyrano. Available to stream/download now is Someone to Say written by Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner (of The National), with lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser and performed by lead actress Haley Bennett, Víkingur Ólafsson (on piano) and the London Contemporary Orchestra. Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner Scoring Mike Mills’ ‘C’mon C’mon’
Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, Irresistible, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (Transpecos, Big Sur) of the rock band The National have teamed up to score the upcoming drama C’mon C’mon. The film is written and directed by Mike Mills (Beginners, 20th Century Women, Thumbsucker) and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gaby Hoffman, Woody Norman and Kenneth Kynt Bryan. The movie follows an artist left to take care of his precocious young nephew as they forge an unexpected bond over a cross country trip. Chelsea Barnard (Booksmart), Lila Yacoub (Eighth Grade, Frances Ha) and Andrea Longacre-White are producing the A24 production.
Bryce & Aaron Dessner Scoring Clint Bentley’s ‘Jockey’
Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner (of The National) have teamed up to score the upcoming indie drama Jockey. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Clint Bentley and stars Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker and Moises Arias. The movie follows a seasoned horse jockey Jackson who finds himself facing what could be his last season as his health deteriorates, when a budding young jockey shows up and claims to be his son. Bentley also co-wrote the screenplay with Greg Kwedar. They are both producing the project with Nancy Schafer (Barracuda, 7 Chinese Brothers, Running with Beto).

Opening in most theaters is the action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum directed by Chad Stahelski and starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas and Ian McShane. The film’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, The Punisher) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick 1 & 2). Also opening wide is the family drama A Dog’s Journey directed by Gail Mancuso and starring Kathryn Prescott, Betty Gilpin, Dennis Quaid, Henry Lau, Marg Helgenberger and Josh Gad. The National’s Bryce & Aaron Dessner Scoring Steven Cantor’s ‘What Will Become of Us’
The National members Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner have composed the original music for the upcoming documentary What Will Become of Us. The film is directed by Academy Award-nominated documentarian Steven Cantor (Dancer, Step) and centers on Sir Frank Lowy, the billionaire co-founder of Westfield Corporation as he faces a dilemma: whether or not to sell his multinational company, his life’s work and legacy. Dani Drusin, Jamie Schutz and Nina Chaudry are producing the project.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the drama Sully directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney. The film’s original music is composed by Christian Jacob and The Tierney Sutton Band. Eastwood has contributed the score’s theme and also co-wrote the end titles song Flying Home based on his theme. Milan Records to Release Aaron & Bryce Dessner’s ‘Transpecos’ Soundtrack
Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the indie thriller Transpecos. The album features the film’s original music composed by The National’s Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner (The Revenant). Also included is the end credits song Afraid of Everyone by The National. The soundtrack is set to be released on September 9, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The track list will be added to this article soon. Transpecos is co-written and directed by Greg Kwedar and stars Johnny Simmons, Gabriel Luna and Clifton Collins, Jr. The movie follows three border patrol agents who encounter a Mexican drug cartel following the deadly aftermath of a vehicle inspection gone wrong.
