Perfect Youth Culture & Media has released the title song from the Hong Kong action adventure Enter the Fat Dragon. The track is performed by the film’s star Donnie Yen (feat. Jasmine Yen). Chan Kwong Wing (Infernal Affairs, The Warlords, Dragon) composed the songs and Chu Chun Yin, Deng Jie and Fiona Fung have written the lyrics. Enter the Fat Dragon is now available to stream/download as a digital single, which also includes an instrumental version, on Amazon. The movie directed by Kenji Tanigaki and starring Yen, alongside Teresa Mo, Niki Chow and Wong Jing revolves around a routine police escort mission that goes terribly wrong when the suspect at the center of a drug investigation suggets a mysterious death.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (September 2, 2016)
Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi thriller Morgan directed by Luke Scott, produced by Ridley Scott and starring Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Paul Giamatti. The film’s original music is composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Waltz with Bashir, Disconnect, Testament of Youth). No word on a soundtrack release. Morgan centers around corporate troubleshooter who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate a genetically-engineered being. Also opening wide is the drama The Light Between Oceans written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Rachel Weisz, Bryan Brown and Jack Thompson. Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) has composed the film’s original music. Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game directed by Gavin Hood and starring Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers series, Battleship) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Chan Kwong Wing Scoring Keanu Reeves’ ‘Man of Tai Chi’
Chan Kwong Wing is scoring the upcoming martial arts action drama Man of Tai Chi. The Chinese-American co-production marks the directorial debut of Keanu Reeves who also stars in the film alongside Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen and Karen Mok. The movie is set in modern day Beijing and follows the spiritual journey of a young martial artist whose skills places him in position to experience opportunities and sacrifices. Michael G. Cooney wrote the screenplay and Lemore Syvan (Sherrybaby, Henry’s Crime) is producing the Village Roadshow Pictures Asia, China Film Group and Wanda Media Group. Chan Kwong Wing’s previous film scoring credits include such titles as Internal Affairs, The Warlords, The Last Tycoon and Dragon.
‘Dragon’ (‘Wu Xia’) Soundtrack Details
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for Peter Chan’s martial arts action adventure Dragon (Wu Xia). The album features the film’s original music composed by Chan Kwong Wing and Peter Kam Pui Tat who previously collaborated with the director on the 2007 epic The Warlords starring Jet Li. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 13, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. Dragon is directed by Peter Ho-Sun Chan and stars Donnie Yen and Takeshi Kaneshiro. The movie follows a village craftsman whose quiet life is irrevocably shattered by the arrival of two notorious gangsters in the local general store. The film was released in theaters last fall by the Weinstein Company’s Radius label and is now available on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay.
