Premiering on Friday, February 22 is the Netflix original movie Paddleton co-written and directed by Alex Lehmann and starring Mark Duplass, Ray Romano, Ravi Patel and Christine Woods. The film’s original music is composed by Julian Wass (Hit and Run, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Room 104, Insatiable, The Overnight). Also premiering on Friday in the U.S. is the Spanish drama The Photographer of Mauthausen (El fotografo de Mauthausen) directed by Mar Targarona and starring Mario Casas, Richard van Weyden and Alain Hernández. Diego Navarro (Capture the Flag, Mimesis) has composed the film’s original music. Rosetta Records has released a soundtrack album last fall when the movie opened overseas. Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post. The film is directed by Desiree Akhavan (Appropriate Behavior) and stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Sasha Lane, John Gallagher Jr., Forrest Goodluck and Jennifer Ehle. The movie is based on the young adult novel by Emily Danforth and tells the story of a young girl in the 1990s who is forced into a gay-conversion therapy center after she is outed and caught with her best friend. Akhavan also co-wrote the screenplay with Cecilia Frugiuele.
