Varèse Sarabande has announced the premiere vinyl release of the soundtrack album for Aardman & DreamWorks Animation’s 2005 feature Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit directed by Nick Park & Steve Box and starring Peter Sallis, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter & Peter Kay. The album features the film’s original score composed by Julian Nott (who scored all the Wallace & Gromit shorts) and produced by Hans Zimmer, as well as additional music by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Gilded Age), Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, When a Stranger Calls), Lorne Balfe (who later co-scored the second Wallace & Gromit feature with Nott) and Alastair King (The Last Detective). The soundtrack will be released as a collectible picture-disc edition on September 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

World Premiere Release of Jim Dooley’s Score from DreamWorks Animation’s ‘First Flight’ Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has released The Jim Dooley Collection – Volume 1, which includes the world premiere release of the score for DreamWorks Animation’s 2006 short First Flight written and directed by Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson. The soundtrack also features four additional titles composed by Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, A Series of Unfortunate Events, When a Stranger Calls, Walker): the industrial film The Mercedes-Benz Axor, the 2002 short Untitled: 003 – Embryo, the 2001 TV movie Area 52, as well as his demos written for the 2014 Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey reboot. Altman and starring Priscilla Quintana, Oliver Dench, Raechelle Banno, John Harlan Kim, Ben Radcliffe, Banita Sandhu, Martin Bobb-Semple and Noah Huntley. The show’s original music is composed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher) and Penka Kouneva (Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Midnight Movie). The animated comedy, which follows a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization, will be available to stream exclusively on Facebook Watch.
Jim Dooley Scoring Peter Sullivan’s Netflix Movie ‘Secret Obsession’
Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, When a Stranger Calls, A Series of Unfortunate Events) is scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie Secret Obsession. The film is directed by Peter Sullivan (Jingle Belle, Wrapped up in Christmas) and stars Brenda Song, Mike Vogel and Dennis Haysbert. The thriller follows a young woman who suffers from amnesia after a brutal attack, but when her memories start coming back, she realizes she no longer knows who to trust.

Jim Dooley to Score Disney Channel’s ‘Kim Possible’ Live-Action Movie
Jim Dooley has been hired to score Disney Channel’s upcoming Kim Possible live-action movie adaptation. The film is directed by Adam B. Stein & Zach Lipovsky and stars Sadie Stanley in the title role, alongside Sean Giambrone, Alyson Hannigan, Todd Stashwick, Taylor Ortega, Connie Ray, Ciara Wilson, Erika Tham and Issac Ryan Brown. The comedy based on the animated hit TV show follows the title character, a typical high school girl who saves the world from evil villains with the help of her sidekick Ron Stoppable, his naked mole-rat Rufus, and computer genius Wade.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated feature Kung Fu Panda 3 directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson & Alessandro Carloni and featuring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, David Cross and J.K. Simmons. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, The Dark Knight) who previously co-scored the first two parts in the series with John Powell. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as songs by The Vamps and Patrick Brasca feat. Jay Chou. ‘Fifty Shades of Black’ Score Album Details
IM Global will release a score album for the comedy Fifty Shades of Black. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, When a Stranger Calls, The Last Ship). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 22, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, IM Global will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the film’s songs, as well as a suite from Dooley’s score. Fifty Shades of Black directed by Michael Tiddes and starring Marlon Wayans, Kalli Hawk, Affion Crockett, Fred Willard, Mike Epps, Andrew Bachelor, Jane Seymour and Florence Henderson is set to be released nationwide on January 29, 2016 by Open Road Films.
