Premiering tonight is the HBO original series Barry created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg and starring Hader himself, alongside Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan and Glenn Fleshler. The show’s original music is composed by David Wingo (Loving, Mud, Midnight Special, Take Shelter). Also premiering tonight is the FX limited series Trust created by Simon Beaufoy and starring Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. James Lavelle & Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have composed the show’s original music. Premiering tonight is the mini-series The Young Pope created and directed by Paolo Sorrentino and starring Jude Law, Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Javier Cámara, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell. The show’s original music is composed by Lele Marchitelli (The Great Beauty). Warner Music has released a soundtrack album featuring selections from the composer’s score, as well as tracks by Jeff Buckley, Max Richter, John Adams, Jefferson Airplane & more. Also premiering stateside tonight is the ITV original series Victoria created by Daisy Goodwin and starring Jenna Coleman, Rufus Sewell, Alex Jennings, Paul Rhys, Tom Hughes and Peter Firth. Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, War and Peace, Peaky Blinders) and Ruth Barrett (Harry Brown, City of Tiny Lights, Hunted) have composed the show’s original music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this week. Netflix Premieres ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Theme Song

Netflix has published the main titles sequence for its new original series A Series of Unfortunate Events. The title song is performed by Neil Patrick Harris, written by Nick Urata and features lyrics by Daniel Handler aka Lemony Snicket. Check out the full titles sequence after the jump. James Newton Howard has composed the music for the show’s first episodes and Chris Bacon is credited as the composer on several subsequent episodes. Urata was originally set to score the full season as reported last year. A Series of Unfortunate Events is based on the book series by Snicket and stars Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Aasif Mandvi, K. Todd Freeman and Patrick Warbutton as Snicket himself.

Nick Urata to Score Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’

Nick Urata is set to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original series A Series of Unfortunate Events. The show is based on the book series by Lemony Snicket and stars Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Aasif Mandvi, K. Todd Freeman and Patrick Warbutton as Snicket himself. The 8-parter tells the tale of three orphaned children at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf, as they face trials and tribulations, misfortunes and an evil uncle in search of their fortune, all in their quest to uncover the secret of their parents’ deaths. Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Get Shorty, The Addams Family) is executive producing the Paramount Television production with Mark Hudis (True Blood) and Daniel Handler.
