Warner Music will release a soundtrack album for the Paolo Sorrentino’s series The Young Pope. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Lele Marchitelli (The Great Beauty). Also included are tracks by Jeff Buckley, Max Richter, John Adams, Bela Bartok, Antonello Venditti, Jefferson Airplane, Domenico Modugno & more as featured in the drama. The soundtrack will be released overseas on December 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order as an import on Amazon. The Young Pope is created and directed by Sorrentino and stars Jude Law, Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Javier Cámara, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell. The series tells the story of the beginning of the pontificate of Lenny Belardo, alias Pius XIII, the first American Pope in history. The show premiered in several European markets over the last couple of months and will premiere on HBO on January 15, 2017. Visit the official show website for updates.
