Notefornote Music will release a soundtrack album for the zombie thriller Outbreak. The album features the film’s original score composed by Michael A. Levine (Cold Case, Close to Home, Siren, Columbus Day). Also included are songs by Royd Haston and Wolfe Hybrid. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Outbreak is co-written and directed by Jeff Wolfe and stars Billy Burke, Alyshia Ochse, Taylor Handley and Jessica Frances Dukes. The movie follows a State Park Ranger and his wife grappling with the disappearance of their teenage son who face a mysterious outbreak that threatens not only their relationship, but also their grip on reality.

Roberta Flack’s ‘Running’ from ‘3100: Run and Become’ Released
Mimami Media has released the original song Running from the documentary 3100: Run and Become. The track is written by the film’s composer Michael A. Levine (Cold Case, Siren, Served Like a Girl) and performed by Grammy Award-winning singer Roberta Flack. The song is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes. 3100: Run and Become is directed by Sanjay Rawal and follows an unassuming paperboy from Finland as he attempts the world’s longest race all around a 1/2 mile sidewalk loop in New York City.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original series Barry created by Bill Hader & Alec Berg and starring Hader himself, alongside Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan and Glenn Fleshler. The show’s original music is composed by David Wingo (Loving, Mud, Midnight Special, Take Shelter). Also premiering tonight is the FX limited series Trust created by Simon Beaufoy and starring Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. James Lavelle & Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have composed the show’s original music. Michael A. Levine Scoring Freeform’s ‘Siren’
Michael A. Levine announced this week that he is scoring the upcoming Freeform original series Siren. The show is based on a story by Eric Wald (View from the Top) & Dean White (The 100) and stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen. The drama is set in the coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids, which is turned upside down when a mysterious girl appears and begins wreaking havoc upon the small fishing town. Wald and White are also executive producing the project with showrunner Emily Whitesell (Finding Carter), Brad Luff (Torque), Nate Hopper and RD Robb.
Jeff Russo, Mac Quayle, Sean Callery, Siddhartha Khosla & More to Appear at Comic-Con Panels
The line-up for two film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2017 has been announced. On Friday, July 21, a number of film/Tv composers will participate in the 9th annual Behind the Music panel presented by CW3PR and Impact24 PR. Jeff Russo (Legion, Fargo), Sean Callery (Jessica Jones, 24), Kris Bowers (Dear White People), Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Runaways) and Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Riverdale) will be participating in a discussion moderated by actors Rachel Keller (Legion, Fargo) & Jeremie Harris (Legion,The Get Down). The composers will give insight on how they contribute to many of the most popular fantasy/fiction titles in the TV and film worlds.

Premiering tonight is the Hallmark Hall of Fame original movie The Makeover directed by John Gray (The Ghost Whisperer, The Glimmer Man) and starring Julia Stiles, David Walton, Frances Fisher, Camryn Manheim and Georgia Lyman. The movie’s screenplay is written by C. Jay Cox (Sweet Home Alabama). The drama centers on a failed congressional candidate who decides to turn a blue-collared beer vendor into the perfect candidate. Michael A. Levine (Cold Case, Close to Home) has composed the film’s original score. The Makeover premieres tonight on ABC. Composers on TNT’s Mystery Movie Night
TNT is launching the Mystery Movie Night, a series of contemporary crime dramas, based on popular novels. The first six movies that are premiering in the next few weeks have some notable composers working on the music for the films. Airing tommorow, November 30 is the mystery drama Ricochet based on a novel by Sandra Brown and starring John Corbett, Gary Cole, Julie Benz and Kelly Overton. The movie centers on two homicide detectives find their careers and lives on the line when they get caught up in a case of murder and betrayal in high-society Savannah. Nick Gomez (Dexter, Drowning Mona) is directing and Howard Braunstein (The Informant!) and Jim Head are executive producing. The film’s music is composed by Chris Bacon who caught the attention of the film music community with his orchestral score for this year’s Source Code directed by Duncan Jones and starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
