Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Honey Don’t! co-written and directed by Ethan Coen and starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Charlie Day and Billy Eichner. The film’s original score is composed by Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, The Banshees of Inisherin, True Grit, The Blind Side, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight, Anomalisa). Shadow of the City has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, original songs written by Jack Antonoff & Coen and other songs from the movie today. Also opening wide is the thriller Relay directed by David Mackenzie and starring Riz Ahmed, Lily James, Sam Worthington and Willa Fitzgerald. Tony Doogan (Starred Up, Outlaw Kings) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Bush Tetras & Karen Marks, Kenneth James Gibson & Alison Cotton today. This past week, James Lavelle and Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have been recording their score for the upcoming FX original series Trust. The show is created by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Full Monty) and stars Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. The drama’s first season tells the story of John Paul Getty III, heir to the Getty oil fortune, and is set in 1973 when the young Getty is kidnapped in Rome and his mafia captors are banking on a multi-million dollar ransom.
