Composer Daniel Pemberton (Project Hail Mary, Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Enola Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Masters of the Universe, The Bad Guys, Materialists, Birds of Prey) is reuniting with director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later…) on the upcoming biographical drama Ink. The film is based on the play of the same title by James Graham (Dear England, Sherwood) and stars Jack O’Connell as The Sun editor Larry Lamb, Guy Pearce as Rupert Murdoch and Claire Foy as Jules Davies. The movie tells the story of a group of visionaries and misfits who had an idea for a new kind of news – one that would give people what they want and would change the face of the world we live in today.

’28 Years Later’ Soundtrack Album Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic horror movie 28 Years Later. The album features the film’s original music composed by the Scottish hip hop trio Young Fathers (Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole & ‘G’ Hastings). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Underworld’s Rick Smith & Karl Hyde Scoring FX’s ‘Pistol’
Rick Smith & Karl Hyde (of the electronic music group Underworld) have composed the original score for the new FX limited series Pistol. The show is created by Craig Pearce (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby), directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later…) and stars Toby Wallace, Anson Boon, Christian Lees, Louis Partridge, Jacob Slater, Sydney Chandler, Maisie Williams, Talulah Riley, Emma Appleton and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. The 6-part drama is based on Sex Pistols’ founding member and guitarist Steve Jones’ memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol and tells the story of a band of working-class kids with “no future,” who shook the boring, corrupt Establishment to its core, threatened to bring down the government and changed music and culture forever.

UNKLE’s James Lavelle & Jack Leonard Scoring FX’s ‘ Trust’
This past week, James Lavelle and Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have been recording their score for the upcoming FX original series Trust. The show is created by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Full Monty) and stars Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. The drama’s first season tells the story of John Paul Getty III, heir to the Getty oil fortune, and is set in 1973 when the young Getty is kidnapped in Rome and his mafia captors are banking on a multi-million dollar ransom.
‘T2 Trainspotting’ Soundtrack Details
Interscope Records will release the official soundtrack album for Danny Boyle’s drama T2 Trainspotting. The album features the songs from the sequel to the director’s 1996 film by artists including Iggy Pop, High Contrast, Young Fathers, Wolf Alice, Blondie, Queen, Underworld, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Clash & more. The soundtrack will be released on January 27, 2017 and is now available as an import on Amazon. T2: Trainspotting reunites Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Steve Jobs) with cast members Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle. The movie based on the novel Porno by Irvine Welsh is written by John Hodge and continues the Trainspotting saga with the original characters.
