Varèse Sarabande has announced the premiere vinyl release of the soundtrack album for Aardman & DreamWorks Animation’s 2005 feature Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit directed by Nick Park & Steve Box and starring Peter Sallis, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter & Peter Kay. The album features the film’s original score composed by Julian Nott (who scored all the Wallace & Gromit shorts) and produced by Hans Zimmer, as well as additional music by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Gilded Age), Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, When a Stranger Calls), Lorne Balfe (who later co-scored the second Wallace & Gromit feature with Nott) and Alastair King (The Last Detective). The soundtrack will be released as a collectible picture-disc edition on September 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Opening in theaters nationwide is Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King directed by Barry Jenkins and starring Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Mads Mikkelsen, Anika Noni Rose,Keith David, Seth Rogen, Thandiwe Newton, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Blue Ivy Carter and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.The film’s original songs are written by and the movie’s original score is composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Encanto, Moana, Hamilton, In the Heights) and Dave Metzger (Wish, Tarzan & Jane, Brother Bear 2). Lebo M has provided additional music and performances and Mark Mancina has produced the songs with Miranda. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs and another album featuring the score, as well as a deluxe edition featuring both score and songs over the last week. Also opening nationwide is the action adventure comedy sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 3 directed by Jeff Fowler and starring Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz James Marsden, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, Krysten Ritter, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Lee Majdoub, Adam Pally and Shemar Moore. Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Godzilla vs. Kong, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for Aardman Animations’ feature Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Adam, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, Bad Boys for Life, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, His Dark Materials) and Julian Nott who previously scored the original Wallace & Gromit shorts and the first feature, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Also included is vocal track from the Norbots and an 8-bit version of Nott’s classic theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The composers’ title track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is directed by Nick Park & Merlin Crossingham and stars Ben Whitehead, Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Diane Morgan, Reece Shearsmith, Muzz Khan, Adjoa Andoh and Lenny Henry.
‘On Angel Wings’ Soundtrack Announced
The Illuminated Film Company will release a soundtrack album for the animated short On Angel Wings. The album features the film’s original music composed by Julian Nott (Wallace & Gromit shorts & feature). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 8, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. On Angel Wings is written and directed by Dave Unwin (Father Christmas), executive produced by Iain Harvey (The Snowman) and features the voices of Sir Michael Gambon, Dominic Cooper and Juliet Stevenson. The short is based on a book by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse) and tells the story of a young shepherd and how he came to be the first visitor to the new born Christ child – ahead of the other shepherds, and in complete secret.

Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the fantasy epic John Carter directed by Andrew Stanton and starring Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe, Lynn Collins, Thomas Haden Church, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Mark Strong, James Purefoy and Bryan Cranston. The film’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening wide is the family comedy A Thousand Words directed by Brian Robbins and starring Eddie Murphy, Ariel Winter, Kerry Washington and Allison Janney. John Debney who previously worked with the director on the sci-fi comedy Meet Dave has written the score for the movie. No soundtrack album has been announced. Julian Nott Scoring ‘The Decoy Bride’
Julian Nott has recently completed scoring the upcoming British romantic comedy drama The Decoy Bride. The film is directed by Shereen Folkson and stars Alice Eve, David Tennant, Kelly Macdonald, Michael Urie and Federico Castelluccio. The film’s story follows the wedding of a film star and Brit author, who decide to escape to a remote island to marry but become entangled in a love mix-up. The Decoy Bride is written by Neil Jaworkski and comedienne Sally Philips. The movie marks the first theatrical feature film assignment in several years for Julian Nott who is best known as the composer of the Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit short films, as well as the 2005 feature film version of the series. No word yet on a release date for the movie, but a release in the UK later this year is expected.
