The full details of the deluxe edition version of the soundtrack album for Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King have been revealed. The album features the film’s original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana, Encanto, In the Heights) and produced by Mark Mancina (Twister, Moana, Speed, Tarzan) & Mancina, as well as instrumental versions of the tracks. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Dave Metzger (Wish, Tarzan & Jane, Brother Bear 2). Lebo M (who provided additional music and performances) and Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, Andor) are also credited on several tracks. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 13 by Walt Disney Records (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download. As previously reported, the standard edition of the soundtrack featuring the songs will be released digitally and physically tomorrow. Mufasa: The Lion King is directed by Barry Jenkins and stars Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Preston Nyman, Kagiso Lediga, Mads Mikkelsen, Anika Noni Rose, Thandiwe Newton, Keith David, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner,John Kani, Donald Glover, Blue Ivy Carter and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. The film will be released in theaters nationwide next Friday, December 20 by Walt Disney Pictures.
