BSX Records has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1997 comedy McHale’s Navy directed by Bryan Spicer and starring Tom Arnold, David Alan Grier, Dean Stockwell, Debra Messing, Tim Curry and Ernest Borgnine. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Emmy Award winner Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager & Enterprise, MacGyver, V: The Series, Die, Mommy, Die!, Parker Lewis Cant’t Lose, Sliders). The soundtrack was released digitally this past April on the label’s official website and is now also available on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. ‘Star Trek Collection – The Final Frontier’ Soundtrack Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the album Star Trek Collection- The Final Frontier, a new 4-CD set featuring previously unreleased music from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. The first disc includes “lost cues” from Star Trek: The Motion Picture written by Jerry Goldsmith (but never recorded) and performed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher), as well as music from The Next Generation composed by Dennis McCarthy and Jay Chattaway. The second disc includes previously unreleased music from Deep Space Nine written by McCarthy, Chattaway, David Bell and Paul Baillargeon. The third disc features tracks from Voyager composed by Chattaway & Bell and the fourth disc includes selections of music from Enterprise written by McCarthy, Baillargeon, Bell, Kevin Kiner and Velton Ray Bunch.

Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the family drama Christopher Robin directed by Marc Forster and starring Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss, Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett and Sophie Okonedo. The film’s original score is composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia) & Jon Brion (Lady Bird, Magnolia). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as three original songs written by Richard Sherman. Click here for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the action comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me co-written and directed by Susanna Fogel and starring Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, Justin Theroux, Gillian Anderson, Hasan Minhaj, Ivanna Sakhno and Sam Heughan. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, John Wick) has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been released. ‘Death of a Nation’ Soundtrack Album Announced
BSX Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Death of a Nation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, MacGyver) who recorded his score with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by John Beal. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Volume 2 albums features 4 CDs including original music from the classic TV show by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: The Next Generation), David Bell, Gregory Smith & Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Enterprise). The album features selections from the show’s original music written by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, CSI: Miami), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: Voyager), David Bell (Murder, She Wrote), Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Velton Ray Bunch (Magnum, P.I., Quantum Leap), Mark McKenzie (The Greatest Miracle), John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, The Following) and Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World). Also included is the series’ main titles song from the first season Where My Heart Will Take Me written by Diane Warren and performed by Russell Watson.

La-La Land Records has announced the details of the new soundtrack release for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The 4-CD set features selections from all seven original seasons of the show. The first disc includes music of composer Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations); the second disc features the music of composer Jay Chattaway; composers featured on the fourth disc include John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2), David Bell, Richard Bellis, Gregory Smith and Paul Baillargeon and the fourth disc entitled The Lost Album contains an album assembly of material that was prepped by music producers and the composers for a soundtrack compilation that was never released. The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Collection is limited to 3000 copies and is now available for pre-order on La-La Land’s website, where you can also check out audio clips.
Complete ‘Star Trek: Generations’ Soundtrack Announced
GNP Crescendo has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for Star Trek: Generations. The music is composed by Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Next Generation and Voyager). The 2-CD set features the complete film score on disc one (including music for one scene deleted from the finished film), and a remastered version of the 1994 soundtrack album on the second disc.
