Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Deadpool & Wolverine directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Karan Soni, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams and Matthew Macfadyen. The film’s original score is composed by Rob Simonsen (The Whale, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, The Adam Project, The Age of Adaline, (500) Days of Summer, Nerve). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details), as well as a separate album featuring the songs from the movie (click here for more information) and a deluxe edition featuring both score and songs his past Wednesday. Also opening wide is the comedy The Fabulous Four directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse and starring Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Bruce Greenwood and Michael Bolton. David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, Australia, Shine, The Railway Man, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, The Dressmaker, Sanctum) has composed the film’s original music. Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
