Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters Pixar’s animated feature Incredibles 2 directed by Brad Bird and featuring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Huck Milner and Samuel L. Jackson. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, Inside Out, Star Trek, Lost, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). Also opening wide is the comedy Tag directed by Jeff Tomsic and starring Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Hannibal Buress, Isla Fisher, Jake Johnson, Jon Hamm, Annabelle Wallis, Rashida Jones and Leslie Bibb. Germaine Franco (Dope, Vida) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure The Dark Tower directed by Nikolaj Arcel and staring Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Taylor, Claudia Kim, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee and Jackie Earle Haley. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Black Mass). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the action thriller Kidnap directed by Luis Prieto and starring Halle Berry. Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, Misconduct, Black Butterfly, The Hunter’s Prayer) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album is in the works. The movie follows a mother who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son. The thriller is being released by Aviron Pictures. Visit the official movie website for more information.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime original mini-series Guerrilla created John Ridley and starring Idris Elba, Frieda Pinto, Babou Ceesay, Rory Kinnear, Nathaniel Martello-White, Daniel Mays, Denise Gough, Brandon Scott, Zawe Ashton and Nicholas Pinnock. The 6-parter’s original music is composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Waltz with Bashir, Taboo, Miss Sloane, Disconnect). Also premiering tonight is The White Queen sequel The White Princess based on the novel by Philippa Gregory and starring Jodie Comer, Jacob Collins-Levy, Michelle Fairley, Essie Davis, Vincent Regan, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Suki Waterhouse, Patrick Gibson and Joanne Whalley. John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom) who previously scored The White Queen has composed the music for the 8-parter. The drama air in the U.S. Sunday nights on Starz. Adam Peters Scoring ‘Sand Castle’

Adam Peters is scoring the upcoming war drama Sand Castle. The film is directed by Fernando Coimbra (A Wolf at the Door) and stars Henry Cavill, Nicholas Hoult, Tommy Flanagan, Neil Brown Jr, Glen Powell and Logan Marshall-Green. The movie is set during the occupation of Iraq and follows a squad of U.S. soldiers who try to protect a small village. Chris Roessner wrote the screenplay based on his experience as a machine gunner in the Iraq Sunni Triangle. Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, The Chronicles of Narnia, Steve Jobs) and Treehouse Pictures’ Justin Nappi (Arbitrage, All Is Lost, 99 Homes) are producing the project.

The film’s original music is composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, World Trade Center) and Adam Peters (Savages) has contributed additional music. ‘Snowden’ Score Album Announced

Deutsche Grammophon will release a second soundtrack album for Oliver Stone’s biographical drama Snowden. The album features the film’s orchestral score composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet, World Trade Center, The Incredible Hulk). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the film’s music by Armstrong and Adam Peters. Snowden starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage chronicles Edward Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition.

Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack for Oliver Stone’s drama Snowden. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, World Trade Center, The Incredible Hulk) and Adam Peters (Savages), as well as a remix by electronic music producer DJ Boys Noiz. The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Snowden is co-written and directed by Stone and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage. The movie is based on the books The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena and chronicles Edward Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition.

This past Saturday, the new comedy drama series The Wedding Band premiered on TBS. The show executive produced by Darin Moiselle & Josh Lobis and Mike Tollin (Radio, Summer Catch) stars Brian Austin Green, Derek Miller, Harold Perrineau, Peter Cambor, Jenny Wade, Kathryn Fiore and Melora Hardin. The series follows four friends who, despite their ups and downs, spend their spare time performing in a wedding band. The show’s score is composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, The Mentalist) and Nathaniel Blume. Adam Schlesinger (Music and Lyrics) serves as the project’s music producer. The first season of ten episode will air Saturday nights on TBS.

The film’s music is composed and conducted by James Horner. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. ‘Savages’ Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for Oliver Stone’s crime drama Savages. The release features six tracks from the film’s original score composed by Adam Peters. Also included are tracks by artists such as Bob Dylan, Peter Tosh, Massive Attack, Electric Light Orchestra, Thievery Corporation, John Taverner and Gustavo Santaolalla. The soundtrack will be released on July 3, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. Savages starring Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Uma Thurman, Emile Hirsch, Demian Bichir, Joel David Moore and John Travolta will be released nationwide on July 6.
