Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Ralph Ineson, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles and Paul Walter Hauser. The film’s original music is composed byMichael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, The Incredibles, Ratatouille). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Home co-written and directed by James DeMonaco and starring Pete Davidson, Mary Beth Peil, John Glover, Bruce Altman, Mugga, Adam Cantor, Denise Burse,Ethan Phillips, Stuart Rudin and Nathalie Schmidt. Nathan Whitehead (The Purge, Keanu,Days Gone, Stephanie, This Is the Night, Chicago Party Aunt, The Remaining) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. ‘Death & Taxes’ Soundtrack Album Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Bobby Johnston (Edmond, Wristcutters: A Love Story, City of Gold, Stuck, Mother’s Day, She’s Just a Shadow, Marfa Girl)). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s main title track below. Death & Taxes is directed by Justin Schein and centers on the filmmaker’s father, Harvey Schein, a renowned and successful record company CEO who became obsessed with how to pass on his wealth to his heirs while avoiding taxes.

Opening in most theaters is the thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). ‘City of Gold’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary City of Gold. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bobby Johnston (Edmond, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Stuck, Mother’s Day, Marfa Girl). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. City of Gold is directed by Laura Gabbert and follows Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic Jonathan Gold who shows a Los Angeles, where ethnic cooking is a kaleidoscopic portal to the mysteries of an unwieldy city and the soul of America.

Aleph Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror anthology film Tales of Halloween. The album features the movie’s original score written by composers including Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious), Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double), Austin Wintory (Journey), Christoper Drake (Tusk), Bobby Johnston (Mother’s Day), Michael Sean Colin (Killjoy Goes to Hell), Edwin Wendler (Unnatural), Jimmy Psycho (The Jimmy Psycho Experiment) and Sean Spillane (Jug Face). Also included is the film’s main titles theme composed by Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, The Amityville Horror). The soundtrack will be released exclusively on iTunes on October 23, 2015. Tales of Halloween weaves together ten chilling tales from horror directors including Neil Marshall, Darren Lynn Bousman, Lucky McKee, Mike Mendez and Ryan Schifrin.

Opening in most theaters is DreamWorks Animation’s Home directed by Tim Johnson and featuring the voices of Jim Parsons, Steve Martin, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez. Roc Nation Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Coffee, Kiesza, Charli XCX and Jacob Plant. Check out our previous article for the full album details. The movie’s original score is composed by Lorne Balfe (Penguins of Madagascar, Megamind, The Bible). Relativity Music Group will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music within the next month. Also opening wide is the comedy Get Hard directed by Etan Cohen and starring Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Alison Brie and Craig T. Nelson. Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, The Muppets) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced, but three tracks from the composer’s score can be checked out on Beck’s official website. Get Hard follows a rich, soft-handed investment bank manager who is sentenced to a maximum security prison and hires the streetwise guy to teach him how to survive his upcoming prison sentence. Already in theaters since this past Tuesday is the comic boot film reboot The Amazing Spider-Man directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard, as well as Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary. The film’s music is composed and conducted by James Horner. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. ‘Crazy Eyes’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Crazy Eyes. The album features the film’s original score composed by Bobby Johnston (Wristcutters: A Love Story, Edmond), as well as the songs featured in the film by artists including Mr. Airplane Man, Stepfather and Lindsay Heath. The soundtrack will be released on July 3, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out below. Crazy Eyes directed by Adam Sherman stars Lukas Haas as a young man obsessed with a girl he calls Crazy Eyes, who is played by Madeline Zima. The film produced by Hagain Shahman co-stars Jake Busey, Ray Wise and Tania Raymonde. The comedy premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and has been picked up for domestic distribution by Strand Releasing. The movie will be released in select cities on July 6.

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Mother’s Day. The album features the original music from the movie composed by Bobby Johnston (King of the Ants, Edmond, Wristcutters: A Love Story). The soundtrack is will be released digitally on May 1, 2012. Mother’s Day is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV) and stars Rebecca De Mornay, Jaime King, Briana Evigan, Patrick Flueger, Deborah Ann Woll and Alexa Vega. Brett Ratner is among the film’s producers. The horror thriller will be released in select theaters on May 4 and will be coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD on May 8.
