Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel) has taken over scoring duties on DC Studios’ upcoming feature Supergirl. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella) and stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, Emily Beecham, David Krumholtz and Jason Momoa. The movie follows Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, as she reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on a journey of vengeance and justice when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home.

‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ Soundtrack Album Details
WaterTower Music has announced the details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action adventure Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Sonic the Hedgehog, Deadpool, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 17 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Mutant will release CD and vinyl editions, with pre-orders beginning on May 24 (visit Amazon to pre-order). As previously reported, a first track (Dementus Is Gaining) is already available to stream/download now. Furiosa is co-written and directed by Miller and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke and Alyla Browne. The movie follows a young Furiosa who is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde and must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Antonio Di Iorio has joined Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) to score the upcoming monster movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film is directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest, Death Note) who previously helmed the 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong (scored by Holkenborg) and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Kaylee Hottle and Fala Chen. Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean series), Simon Barrett (You’re Next) & Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Rossio, Wingard & Barrett.

Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Sonic the Hedgehog, Alita: Battle Angel) is returning to score the upcoming (currently untitled) Godzilla vs. Kong sequel. The film will be directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle who reprise their roles from the first movie. They are joined by new cast members Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen and Rachel House.

The full details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s fantasy romance Three Thousand Years of Longing have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Alita: Battle Angel). Also included is Holkenborg’s & Matteo Bocelli’s original song Cautionary Tale, which has previously been released as a digital single last week. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 26 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Three Thousand Years of Longing is co-written and directed by Miller and stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.

Italian tenor and singer/songwriter Matteo Bocelli (and son of opera star Andrea Bocelli) has recorded an original song for the sci-fi romance Three Thousand Years of Longing. The track written by the film’s composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel), director George Miller & co-writer Augusta Gore is expected to be featured during the movie’s end titles sequence. Bocelli also stars in the film as Prince Mustafa.
‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ Soundtrack Album Details
La-La Land Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Godzilla vs. Kong, Black Mass, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice) who previously composed the music for the 2020 original movie. A limited edition CD version will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today. A digital version is expected to be released this Friday by Paramount Music (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album). Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is directed by Jeff Fowler and stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
