WaterTower Music has announced the details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action adventure Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Sonic the Hedgehog, Deadpool, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 17 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Mutant will release CD and vinyl editions, with pre-orders beginning on May 24 (visit Amazon to pre-order). As previously reported, a first track (Dementus Is Gaining) is already available to stream/download now. Furiosa is co-written and directed by Miller and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke and Alyla Browne. The movie follows a young Furiosa who is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde and must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Brian May (Mad Max, Cloak and Dagger, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare). The full details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s fantasy romance Three Thousand Years of Longing have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Alita: Battle Angel). Also included is Holkenborg’s & Matteo Bocelli’s original song Cautionary Tale, which has previously been released as a digital single last week. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 26 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Three Thousand Years of Longing is co-written and directed by Miller and stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.

Capitol Records has released the original song Cautionary Tale from the fantasy romance Three Thousand Years of Longing. The track written by the film’s composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Alita: Battle Angel), director George Miller & co-writer Augusta Gore and performed by Italian tenor and singer/songwriter Matteo Bocelli (who also stars in the movie) is now available to stream/download as a digital single in two different versions on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to both the English Version and Film Version below. A full soundtrack album featuring Holkenborg’s original score is expected to be released next week.

Italian tenor and singer/songwriter Matteo Bocelli (and son of opera star Andrea Bocelli) has recorded an original song for the sci-fi romance Three Thousand Years of Longing. The track written by the film’s composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel), director George Miller & co-writer Augusta Gore is expected to be featured during the movie’s end titles sequence. Bocelli also stars in the film as Prince Mustafa.

Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) confirmed during a recent appearance on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream that he is attached to score George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa. The film will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller (The Witches of Eastwick, Happy Feet, Baby: Pig in the City) is co-writing the screenplay with Nick Lathouris and is also producing the project with Doug Mitchell (Babe, Dead Calm). Holkenborg (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Black Mass, Divergent) has previously scored 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and is also collaborating with Miller on the upcoming Three Thousand Years of Longing.
‘Looney Tunes: Back in Action’ & ‘Babe’ Deluxe Edition Soundtracks Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition for the 2003 animated/live-action hybrid comedy Looney Tunes: Back in Action directed by Joe Dante and starring Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman,, Timothy Dalton, Joan Cusack, Bill Goldberg, Heather Locklear and Steve Martin. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, Patton). Also included are the rewrites and additional music from the movie by John Debney, Cameron Patrick & others, as well as alternates and outtakes of Goldsmith’s score. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Divergent, Black Mass) is set to reteam with director George Miller (Mad Max, Babe, Happy Feet) on the upcoming romantic fantasy drama Three Thousand Years of Longing. The film stars Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. No plot details have been announced yet. Doug Mitchell (Dead Calm, Lorenzo’s Oil) is producing the project. Holkenborg has previously collaborated with Miller on the director’s last feature, Mad Max: Fury Road.
