West Hall Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The Dissident. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, The Yellow Birds). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (or any other major digital music stores), where you can also check out audio samples. The Dissident is directed by Bryan Fogel and centers on the disappearance of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi after entering Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul. The movie follows Khashoggi’s fiancée and dissidents around the world as they are left to piece together clues to his brutal murder – and in their dogged quest for truth, expose a global cover-up perpetrated by the very country he loved. The documentary, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, was released in select theaters in December by Briarcliff Entertainment and is now also available on VOD.
