West Hall Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The Dissident. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, The Yellow Birds). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (or any other major digital music stores), where you can also check out audio samples. The Dissident is directed by Bryan Fogel and centers on the disappearance of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi after entering Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul. The movie follows Khashoggi’s fiancée and dissidents around the world as they are left to piece together clues to his brutal murder – and in their dogged quest for truth, expose a global cover-up perpetrated by the very country he loved.

Adam Peters Scoring Bryan Fogel’s ‘The Dissident’
Composer Adam Peters (Savages, Snowden, The Yellow Birds) is reuniting with director Bryan Fogel on the upcoming documentary The Dissident. The film centers on Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance after entering Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul and follows his fiancée and dissidents around the world as they are left to piece together clues to his brutal murder. Fogel is also producing the project with Jake Swantko, Mark Monroe and Thor Halvorssen.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Icarus’ to Be Released
West Hall Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Academy Award-winning Netflix original documentary Icarus. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Peters (Savages, Snowden, Sand Castles) . The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 23 and will be available to download here. Icarus is directed by Bryan Fogel and follows the filmmaker and amateur bike racer as he plunges into a vast doping scandal involving a Russian scientist – Putin’s most-wanted whistleblower. The documentary premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and was released later that year before receiving the Academy Award in 2018 in the Best Documentary category.
