Writer/producer Silka Louisa (Shining Girls) has revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Shogun, The Book of Eli, Death Note, Triple 9, Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, Dr. Death, Dreamin’ Wild) is scoring the upcoming Prime Video limited series Blade Runner 2099. The show is based on characters created by Philip K. Dick and stars Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer, Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey Daniel Rigby, Amy Lennox, Johnny Harris, Sheila Atim and Matthew Needham. The sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic (scored by Vangelis) and Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049 (scored by Hans Zimmer & Benjamin Wallfisch) takes place fifty years after the events of the second movie and follows a fugitive who takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner and – forced to partner with a Replicant days from dying – hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city.

Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV original series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Leopold Ross (Shogun, The Book of Eli, Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, Death Note, Triple 9, Dr. Death, Dreamin’ Wild). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 27 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The film is directed by Chris Smith (FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, 100 Foot Wave) and centers on Bryan Johnson, a man who has dedicated his life to defy aging. The movie dives into the controversial wellness practices one man is using to maintain vitality and youth, and the effect this journey has on himself and those around him.

Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Shōgun. The album features previously unreleased music from the show’s first season composed by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul, Gone Girl), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli, Death Note) and Nick Chuba (Thelma, The Girl from Plainville, Dr. Death) who have recently received an Emmy Award nomination for their score. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 16 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released the original soundtrack back in February and Mutant has announced a vinyl edition.
