Fifth Season Music & Lakeshore Records have released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original documentary series Omnivore. The album features the project’s main title theme composed by Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad (Luke Cage, Sugar, Boogie, Reasonable Doubt), as well as selections of the show’s original score by composers Alex Somers (Honey Boy, Captain Fantastic, Causeway, Fresh), Aska Matsumiya (After Yang, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Skate Kitchen, Bruised) , Oliver Coates (Aftersun, Mary & George, Occupied City, The Stranger), Dan Deacon (Hustle, The Changeling, Ascension, Perfect Wife), Jake Staley (Valor, Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland, 7 Below), Ishaan Chhabra (Scam 2003: The Telgu Story, Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer), Ré Olunuga (Rise, Drift, Iwaju, Girl) and Amanda Jones (Moving On, Naomi, Mea Culpa,The Perfect Find . Apple TV+’s ‘Omnivore’ to Feature Music by Alex Somers, Aska Matsumiya, Oliver Coates, Dan Deacon & Others
The full composer line-up of the new Apple TV+ original documentary series Omnivore has been revealed. The show is developed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (No Time to Die, True Detective), created and narrated by René Redzepi and follows the chef and co-owner of world-renowned restaurant Noma as he takes viewers on an immersive journey into the world of food. Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad (Luke Cage, Boogie, Sugar, Reasonable Doubt) have contributed the main title theme to the project. Alex Somers (Honey Boy, Causeway, Captain Fantastic, Fresh, Under the Bridge) has composed the music for the episode Chile directed by Drea Cooper, Aska Matsumiya (After Yang, Bruised, Betty, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Skate Kitchen, I’m Your Woman) has scored the episode Tuna directed by Mateo Willis, Oliver Coates (Aftersun, Mary & George, The Stranger, Occupied City) has provided the music for the episode Salt directed by Cooper and Dan Deacon (Hustle, The Changeling, Ascension, Twixt) has scored the episode Banana directed by David Charles Rodrigues.
‘Iwájú’ Soundtrack Album Details
Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Disney+ original animated event series Iwájú. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ré Olunuga (Rise, Girl, Coming from Insanity, Up North). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Iwájú written by Olufikayo Ziki Adeola & Halima Hudson and features the voice talent of Simisola Gbadamosi, Dayo Okeniyi, Femi Branch, Siji Soetan and Weruche Opia. The Walt Disney Animation Studios and Kugali production is set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria and tells the coming-of-age story follows a young girl from the wealthy island, and her best friend, a self-taught tech expert, as they discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their different worlds. .

Premiering today is the AMC limited series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live created by Scott M. Gimple, Danai Gurira & Andrew Lincoln and starring Lincoln, Gurira, Pollyanna McIntosh, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Andrew Bachelor and Craig Tate. Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli) & Nick Chuba (Dr. Death, The Girl from Plainville) have composed the show’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past Friday. Ré Olunuga Scoring Disney+’s ‘Iwájú’
Nigerian composer Ré Olunuga (Girl, Up North, Coming from Insanity) has recently scored the upcoming Disney+ original event series Iwájú. The show marks the first collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pan-African entertainment company Kugali and features the voices of Simisola Gbadamosi, Dayo Okeniyi, Siji Soetan, Femi Branch, and Weruche Opia. The 6-parter is set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria and tells the coming-of-age story of a young girl from the wealthy island and her best friend as they discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their different worlds.
‘Rise’ Soundtrack Album Details
Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Rise. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ré Olunuga (Up North, Coming from Insanity). The Nigerian composer’s score mixes his interpretation of classic orchestral Disney film music with traditional African phraseology, rhythms and instruments. Also included are two original songs co-written and performed by the eldest Antetokounmpo brother, Ofili (aka Francis Adetokunbo), as well as the song One Day performed by Shirazee. The soundtrack will be coming out digitally tomorrow, June 24 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.

The comedy, which revolves around a Latina reporter looking back on her childhood growing up with her eccentric family in 1980s Miami, will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max.
Ré Olunuga to Score Disney+’s ‘Greek Freak’
Nigerian composer Ré Olunuga (Up North, Coming from Insanity) has signed on to score the upcoming Disney+ original film Greek Freak. The movie is directed by Akin Omotoso (Vaya) and stars Uche Agada, Yetide Badaki and Dayo Okeniyi. The drama is inspired by the true story of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s life and his family who through faith, determination, and their unbreakable bond, would unite to lift themselves out of a life of poverty as undocumented immigrants living in Greece. Arash Amel (A Private War, The Titan) wrote the screenplay and Bernie Goldmann (300, Fool’s Gold) is producing the project.
