Opening in theaters nationwide is the animated feature Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers & Justin K. Thompson and starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Daniel Kaluuya, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry and Oscar Isaac. The film’s original score is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Ocean’s 8, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music today (click here for the album details). Republic Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from (and inspired) by the movie (click here for the full details).

Also opening wide today is the supernatural horror thriller The Boogeyman directed by Rob Savage and starring Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivian Lyra Blair, Marin Ireland, LisaGay Hamilton, Madison Hu and David Dastmalchian. Patrick Jonsson (Virunga, The White Helmets, Wildcat, Black Earth Rising, Evelyn, On Her Shoulders) has composed the film’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘Rise’ Soundtrack Album Details

Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Rise. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ré Olunuga (Up North, Coming from Insanity). The Nigerian composer’s score mixes his interpretation of classic orchestral Disney film music with traditional African phraseology, rhythms and instruments. Also included are two original songs co-written and performed by the eldest Antetokounmpo brother, Ofili (aka Francis Adetokunbo), as well as the song One Day performed by Shirazee. The soundtrack will be coming out digitally tomorrow, June 24 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.

Premiering on Thursday, June 23, is the Paramount+ original movie Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe written and directed by Mike Judge and staring Judge, Gary Cole, Nat Faxon, Chris Diamantopoulos, Chi McBride, Tig Notaro, Brian Huskey, Stephen Root, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr and Jimmy O. Yang. The film’s original music is composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Office Space, The Following, Dante’s Peak, Gods and Generals). Also premiering on Thursday is the HBO Max original series Gordita Chronicles created by Claudia Forestieri and starring Olivia Goncalves, Diana Maria Riva, Savannah Nicole Ruiz, Juan Javier Cardenas, Noah Rico, Cosette Hauer and Dascha Polanco. Joachim Horsley (The Baker and the Beauty, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Big City Greens, Spirit Riding Free) has composed the show’s original music. The comedy, which revolves around a Latina reporter looking back on her childhood growing up with her eccentric family in 1980s Miami, will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max.

‘Rise’ (‘En Corps’) Soundtrack Released

Because Music has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Rise (En Corps). The album features the film’s original score composed by Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter and the movie’s director Cédric Klapisch (Back to Burgundy, Someone, Somewhere). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Rise is co-written and directed by Klapisch and stars Marion Barbeau, Hofesh Shechter, Muriel Robin, Denis Podalydes, Pio Marmaï, François Civil and Souheila Yacoub. The movie follows a ballerina who gets injured in a devastating fall on stage that leaves her unable to dance for up to two years and slowly starts to rebuild her life while redirecting her efforts to contemporary dance.

Soundtrack Album for NBC’s ‘Rise’ to Be Released

Atlantic Records will release the first full soundtrack album for the NBC drama Rise. The album features the songs from the show’s first season (from the stage musical Spring Awakening with music written by Duncan Sheik and lyrics by Steven Later) performed by cast members including Auli’i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Amy Forsyth, Ted Sutherland, Ellie Desautels, Erin Kommor and Sean Grandillo. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically tomorrow, May 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Rise created by Jason Katims and also starring Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Marley Shelton follows a dedicated teacher and family man takes over the school’s lackluster theater department.

Premiering tonight is the new ABC drama Deception created by Chris Fedak and starring Jack Cutmore-Scott, Ilfenesh Hadera, Amaury Nolasco, Lenora Crichlow, Justin Chon, Vinnie Jones and Laila Robins. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Riverdale, Life As We Know It, The Pacific) and Nathan Blume (The Seventies, Vixen). First Songs from NBC’s ‘Rise’ to Be Released

Atlantic Records will release the songs from the new NBC musical drama Rise. Coming out tomorrow are the first couple of tracks from the premiere episode, including I Believe and Spring Awakening Montage performed by the show’s cast, Football Freestyle performed by Damon J. Gillespie, Glorious performed by Auli’i Cravalho & Gillespie and Just Breathe performed by Ellie Desautels. New songs are expected to be released weekly as the series’ first season airs every Tuesday night. Rise is created by Jason Katims and stars Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli”i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Amy Forsyth, Casey Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joseph Tippett and Shirley Rumierk.
