Premiering tomorrow, October 5 is the CW drama Private Eyes West Coast created by Jennifer Kassabian & Sarah Dodd and starring Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson. The show’s original music is composed by Shawn Pierce (Haven, Motive, Slasher, The Bridge). The spinoff to the original 2017 Private Eyes series (scored by Pierce) follows Shade & Angie as they have left behind their P.I. firm and settled into a new life on the west coast, but their new quiet life is shaken when a night out lands them at the scene of a murder. The drama just premiered in Canada earlier this week on GLOBAL and will air in the U.S. Monday nights on The CW.
Premiering on Wednesday, October 7, is the Prime Video limited series Carrie written by Mike Flanagan based on Stephen King’s debut novel and starring Summer Howell, Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Joel Oulette, Alison Thornton, Amber Midthunder, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Josie Tota and Matthew Lillard. The Newton Brothers (Daredevil: Born Again, Doctor Sleep, X-Men ’97, The House of Haunted Hill, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Forever Purge, The Life of Chuck, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Midnight Mass) have composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, July 10, is the new FX drama The Bridge . The series stars Demian Bechir and Diana Kruger as two El Paso detectives who partner to catch a serial killer working both sides of the US-Mexican border. The show is based on the Scandinavian series of the same title and is adapted by Meredith Stiehm (Homeland) and Elwood Reid (Hawaii Five-O, Cold Case). Shawn Pierce (Haven, Defying Gravity, Motive) is composing the show’s original score. Ryan Bingham who co-wrote and performed the Academy Award-winning song A Weary Kind from Crazy Heart has written the opening titles song for the series. The show’s original score is composed by John Swihart (Napoleon Dynamite, New in Town) who is also the creator’s long running hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The Goodwin Games will air every Monday night on Fox. The series follows three grown siblings who return home after their father’s death, and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit a vast fortune.
