Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama Rebel. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hannes De Maeyer (Gangsta, Rafaël, Torpedo Black, Image) with Oum & lead actor Aboubakr Bensaihi. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Rebel is co-written and directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life, Ms. Marvel) and also stars Lubna Azabal, Amir El Arbi, Tara Abboud and Younes Bouab. The movie tells the story of a man who leaves Belgium to help war victims in Syria, where he is forced to join the militia and is left stranded in Raqqa.

Katey Sagal’s ‘Life To Fix’ Cover from ABC’s ‘Rebel’ Released
American Broadcasting Music has released the cover version of The Record Company’s Life To Fix from the new ABC drama Rebel. The track (originally written by Alex Stiff, Marc Cazorla & Chris Vos) is performed by the show’s star Katey Sagal. Bob Thiele has produced the song, which is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Also listen to the full track after the jump. Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight. Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, Rosewood) & Rebeca Kneubuhl (Dawn of the Croods, Sydney to the Max) are teaming up to score the upcoming ABC drama Rebel. The show is created by Krista Vernoff (Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19) and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio and Andy Garcia. The series is inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today and follows a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves.
Hannes De Maeyer to Score Adil El Arbi’s & Bilall Fallah’s ‘Rebel’
Hannes De Maeyer is attached to score the upcoming Belgian coming-of-age drama Rebel. The film is directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) and stars Amir El Arbi, Aboubakr Bensaihi and Lubna Azabal. The movie revolves around a 13-year-old Moroccan boy from Molenbeek as he is searching for an identity after his father’s death. El Arbi and Fallah also co-wrote the screenplay with Jan Van Dyck and Kevin Meul. Bert Hamelinck (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, The Rider) and Dimitri Verbeeck are producing the Caviar, Beluga Tree, Calach Films and Le Collectif 64 production. De Maeyer (Rafaël, Torpedo) has previously collaborated with the directors on the features Gangsta, Black and Image.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV movie To Walk Invisible: The Bronte Sisters written and directed by Sally Wainwright and starring Finn Atkins, Chloe Pirrie, Charlie Murphy, Jonathan Pryce and Adam Nagaitis. The film’s original music is composed by John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom, The White Queen). The drama revolves around the Bronte sisters’ battle to overcome obstacles and publish their novels, which would become some of the greatest in the English language. Premiering on Tuesday, March 28, is the BET original series Rebel created by John Singleton & Amani Walker and starring Danielle Moné Truitt, Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, Method Man, and LaTanya Richardson.
