Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Jack Reacher: Never Go Back directed by Edward Zwick and starring Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Robert Knepper. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Captain Phillips). Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Ouija: Origin of Evil directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Doug Jones, Parker Mack, Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel, Annalise Basso and Lulu Wilson. The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Life of Crime, Hush, Detachment, The Bye Bye Man) have composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. ‘I’m Not Ashamed’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama I’m Not Ashamed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timothy Williams (Wild Horses, Sym-Bionic Titan, I.T., Walking with the Enemy). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 21, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. I’m Not Ashamed is directed by Brian Baugh and stars Masey McLain, Sadie Robertson, Ben Davies, Korie Robertson, Jaci Velasquez and Jennifer O’Neill. The movie is based on the true story and journal entries of Rachel Joy Scott – the first student killed in the Columbine high school shooting in 1999.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the western The Magnificent Seven directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Byung-Hun Lee and Peter Sarsgaard. The film’s original music is composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart) and Simon Franglen. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Surf’s Up) and Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur) have composed the film’s original music. ‘I.T.’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller I.T. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timothy Williams (Sym-Bionic Titanic, Walking with the Enemy, Wild Horses, Diablo). Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead) serves as the movie’s executive music producer and the album’s producer. Also included is the song Girls Cry Boys Lie by Deveraux. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 23, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. I.T. is directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen, A Good Day to Die Hard) and stars Pierce Brosnan, James Frecheville, Anna Friel, Stefanie Scott and Austin Swift.

Timothy Williams to Score John Moore’s ‘I.T.’

Timothy Williams has been hired to score the upcoming thriller I.T.. The film is directed by John Moore and stars Pierce Brosnan, Stefanie Scott, Anna Friel, James Frecheville and Michael Nyqvist. The movie follows a successful owner of a private jet business who finds himself pitted against a disgruntled young I.T. consultant who begins stalking his daughter and using technology to threaten his family, business and life. William Wisher (Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Judge Dredd) has written the screenplay based on an earlier script by Dan Kay. David T. Friendly (Little Miss Sunshine, Doctor Dolittle), Craig Flores (Charlie Countryman), Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe) and Beau St. Clair (The Thomas Crown Affair, Laws of Attraction) are producing the project.

In addition to the nationwide expansion of The Revenant, the only movie opening wide is the supernatural thriller The Forest directed by Jason Zada, produced by David Goyer and starring Natalie Dormer, Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken and Yukiyoshi Ozawa. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, The Boy, Outlander). Sparks & Shadows Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Opening in limited release is the indie drama Anesthesia written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson who also stars in the film alongside Kristen Stewart, Sam Waterston, Glenn Close, Gretchen Mol, Tim Blake Nelson, Corey Stoll and Michael K. Williams. Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Tyrant, The Boondock Saints) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Anesthesia revolves around the intersection of characters after the violent mugging of a Columbia University professor. ‘Diablo’ Soundtrack Announced

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Diablo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timothy Williams (Wild Horses, Walking with the Enemy, Sym-Bionic Titan). Also included is the original song Bloodline performed by Zella Day, Preacher’s Theme by Spindrift and the end credit song Taken performed by Jenavive. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Diablo is directed by Lawrence Roeck and stars Scott Eastwood, Walton Goggins, Camilla Belle, Adam Beach, Joaquim De Almeida and Danny Glover. The movie follows a Civil War veteran who wakes up to find his beautiful wife kidnapped by a band of ruthless bandits.

‘Wild Horses’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the western Wild Horses. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timothy Williams (Walking with the Enemy). Also included are the songs from the film by artists including Caitlin Eadie, Roy Gaines and his Tuxedo Blues Orchestra, Billy Joe Shaver, as well as Cheyenne performed by Robert Duvall. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Wild Horses is directed by Robert Duvall who also stars in the film alongside James Franco, Josh Hartnett, Luciana Duvall, Adriana Barraza, Angie Cepeda and Jim Parrack. The movie centers on the impact on a Texas rancher’s family when the Texas Rangers reopen an investigation into a missing person case.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the action adventure sequel Jurassic World directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Judy Greer. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Inside Out, Star Trek, Lost). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Opening in select cities before expanding nationwide over the next couple of weeks is the indie comedy drama Me and Earl and the Dying Girl directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and starring Thomas Mann, Olivia Cooke, RJ Cyler, Nick Offerman, Molly Shannon, Jon Bernthal and Connie Britton. Brian Eno has composed the film’s music and Nico Muhly (The Reader, Margaret, Kill Your Darlings) has also provided original music. No word yet on a soundtrack album. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl follows a student who is coasting to senior year of high school as anonymously as possible and is forced by his mother to befriend a classmate with leukemia. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Who Can You Trust, which he co-wrote with Craig Wedren and is performed Ivy Levan.
