Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The King’s Speech, Philomena, The Queen) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming sci-fi/action adventure Jurassic World: Rebirth. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, he Creator) and stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Ed Skrein, Philippine Velge and Bechir Sylvain. The movie is set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion and follows an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air.

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World: Dominion. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Lost, Ratatouille, Star Trek, The Incredibles, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Batman) who previously scored the first Jurassic World movie and the 2018 sequel Fallen Kingdom. The soundtrack is set be released digitally next Friday, June 10 and is now available for pre-order here. A CD version will be coming out on June 24 and is available to order on Amazon. Michael Giacchino to Return for ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’
Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Jurassic World: Dominion. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, BD Wong and Isabella Sermon and BD Wong who are reprising their roles from the previous Jurassic World and Jurassic Park films. They are joined by new cast members Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, DeWanda Wise and Scott Haze. No plot details have been announced yet. Trevorrow also wrote the screenplay with Emily Carmichael (Battle at Big Rock, Pacific Rim: Uprising).
Michael Giacchino to Score J.A. Bayona’s ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel
Michael Giacchino confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be returning to score the currently untitled Jurassic World sequel. The film will be directed by J.A. Bayona and is set to star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and. No plot details have been revealed yet. Colin Trevorrow who directed the first Jurassic World movie has written the screenplay with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed). Frank Marshall (The Sixth Sense, Sully, Signs) is producing the project with Pat Crowley (Jason Bourne series, Eagle Eye) and Belén Atienza.

Opening in select cities before expanding nationwide over the next couple of weeks is the indie comedy drama Me and Earl and the Dying Girl directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and starring Thomas Mann, Olivia Cooke, RJ Cyler, Nick Offerman, Molly Shannon, Jon Bernthal and Connie Britton. Brian Eno has composed the film’s music and Nico Muhly (The Reader, Margaret, Kill Your Darlings) has also provided original music. No word yet on a soundtrack album. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl follows a student who is coasting to senior year of high school as anonymously as possible and is forced by his mother to befriend a classmate with leukemia. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing the project and Steven Spielberg serves as an executive producer. The composer follows John Williams who scored Steven Spielberg’s first two movies in the series, as well as Don Davis who scored Jurassic Park III.
