The full details of the soundtrack album for the Spanish Netflix original film Society of the Snow (La sociedad de la nieve) have been revealed. The album features the original music from the survival drama composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Ratatouille, The Batman, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Incredibles). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 1 by Netflix Music (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). A first track (Found) was released back in September and a second track (Andes Ascent) was released earlier this month and can be checked out below. Society of the Snow is co-written and directed by J.A. Bayona and stars Enzo Vogrincic, Agustín Pardella, Matías Recalt, Esteban Bigliardi, Fenando Contigiani García and Diego Vegezzi. Fernando Velazquez to Score ‘Marrowbone’
Fernando Velazquez has been tapped to score the upcoming psychological thriller Marrowbone. The film marks the directorial debut of writer Sergio G. Sanchez (The Orphanage, The Impossible, Palm Trees in the Snow) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Mia Goth, George Mackay and Charlie Heaton. The movie revolves around four children who hide from the world after their mother’s death on a farm that holds a terrible secret. Sanchez also wrote the screenplay. J.A. Bayona is producing the project with Alvaro Augustin (Pan’s Labyrinth, Agora), Belen Atienza and Ghislain Barros.
Michael Giacchino to Score J.A. Bayona’s ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel
Michael Giacchino confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be returning to score the currently untitled Jurassic World sequel. The film will be directed by J.A. Bayona and is set to star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and. No plot details have been revealed yet. Colin Trevorrow who directed the first Jurassic World movie has written the screenplay with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed). Frank Marshall (The Sixth Sense, Sully, Signs) is producing the project with Pat Crowley (Jason Bourne series, Eagle Eye) and Belén Atienza.

Back Lot Music and Quartet Records will release the official soundtrack album for the fantasy drama A Monster Calls. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, Crimson Peak, The Orphanage, Mama, Hercules, Devil). Also included is the original song Tear Up This Town by Keane. The soundtrack will be released overseas on September 26, 2016 by Quartet Records. Quartet Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the drama The Impossible (Lo Imposible). The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velazquez (Devil) who previously scored director J.A. Bayona’s 2007 hit film The Orphanage. The music was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and performed by The London Metropolitan Orchestra & Kup Tadea Choir. The soundtrack is now available to order as an import on the label’s website, where you can also listen to audio clips from the score. The Impossible starring Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts and Tom Holland is based on the true story about a family caught in mayhem of the tsunami that hit the coast of Thailand in 2004. The movie premiered last month at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released in the US on December 21, 2012 by Summit Entertainment.
