Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s Spanish original series The Girl in the Mirror (Alma). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, The Orphanage, Crimson Peak, Devil, Hercules). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Girl in the Mirror is created by Sergio G. Sánchez and stars Mireia Oriol, Álex Villazán, Pol Monen, Javier Morgade, María Caballero, Nil Cardoner, Claudia Roset, Milena Smit, Marta Belaustegui and Josean Bengoetxea.

Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for he psychological thriller Marrowbone. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, Mama, A Monster Calls, Hercules). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also check out audio samples. A digital version is available for pre-order on Amazon. Marrowbone is directed by Sergio G. Sánchez and stars George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Mia Goth and Matthew Stagg. The JA Bayona-produced movie follows four siblings who seek refuge in an old home after the death of their mother, only to discover that the house has another, more sinister, inhabitant.
Fernando Velazquez to Score ‘Marrowbone’
Fernando Velazquez has been tapped to score the upcoming psychological thriller Marrowbone. The film marks the directorial debut of writer Sergio G. Sanchez (The Orphanage, The Impossible, Palm Trees in the Snow) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Mia Goth, George Mackay and Charlie Heaton. The movie revolves around four children who hide from the world after their mother’s death on a farm that holds a terrible secret. Sanchez also wrote the screenplay. J.A. Bayona is producing the project with Alvaro Augustin (Pan’s Labyrinth, Agora), Belen Atienza and Ghislain Barros.
