Universal Music will release the official soundtrack album for the documentary Eno. The album features music by the film’s subject Brian Eno (The Lovely Bones, Dune, Top Boy, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), including work from early solo outings, collaborations with artists such as David Bryne, Cluster, John Cale, Fred again, his 2022 appearance at the Acropolis in Athens with brother Roger & more. Also included are three previously unreleased recordings. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD and vinyl edition will be coming out on July 12 (click here to pre-order) A first track (Lighthouse #429) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. Eno directed by Gary Hustwit centers on the visionary musician and artist, known for producing David Bowie, Talking Heads, U2, among others, pioneering the genre of ambient music; releasing over 40 solo and collaboration albums and reveals his creative processes.

‘Top Boy’ Score Album Announced
Netflix Music has announced the first score album for the British TV series Top Boy. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Brian Eno (The Lovely Bones, Dune, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 1 and physically (on both CD and vinyl) on September 29. Top Boy is created by Ronan Bennett and stars Ashley Walters, Kane Robinson, Michael Ward, Simbiatu Ajikawo, Shone Romulus and Jasmine Jobson. The crime drama two seasoned drug dealers who return to the gritty streets of London, but their pursuit of money and power is threatened by a young and ruthless hustler.
‘Brian Eno – Film Music 1976 – 2020’ Album Announced
Universal Music has announced a new compilation album featuring the film music of Brian Eno. The album features seventeen of the composer’s most recognizable film and television compositions, including seven previously unreleased tracks. Among the titles featured on the release are films such as Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting, David Lynch’s Dune, Michael Mann’s Heat, Jonathan Demme’s Married to The Mob, Gary Hustwitz’s RAMS and Ralph Bakshi’s Cool World, as well as the TV shows Top Boy and BBC Natural World’s Hammerhead. Brian Eno – Film Music 1976 – 2020 will be released digitally on November 13, 2020 and is available for pre-order here. A CD and vinyl edition is set to come out on January 22, 2021 and will be available on Amazon soon.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the action adventure sequel Jurassic World directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Judy Greer. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Inside Out, Star Trek, Lost). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Brian Eno has composed the film’s music and Nico Muhly (The Reader, Margaret, Kill Your Darlings) has also provided original music. No word yet on a soundtrack album. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl follows a student who is coasting to senior year of high school as anonymously as possible and is forced by his mother to befriend a classmate with leukemia. The film is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Glee) and stars Thomas Mann, RJ Cyler, Olivia Cooke, Nick Offerman, Connie Britton and Molly Shannon. The movie through follows a student who is coasting to senior year of high school as anonymously as possible and is forced by his mother to befriend a classmate with leukemia. Jesse Andrews has written the screenplay.
