Blake Neely has been hired to score the upcoming Lifetime original series You. The show is created by Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon, Everwood, Life As We Know It) & Sera Gamble (The Magicians) and stars Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail, Shay Mitchell, Zach Cherry, Luca Padovan, as well as John Stamos, Michael Maize and Ambyr Childers who will appear in recurring roles. The drama is based on based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same title and tells the story of a bookstore employee who becomes obsessed with one of his customers and faces the question: How far will he go for love?. Berlanti is also executive producing the project with Sarah Schechter (Black Lightning), Leslie Morgenstein (Pretty Little Liars) and Gina Girolamo (The 100).

Premiering on Thursday, November 2, is the new CBS drama S.W.A.T. developed by Aaron Thomas, produced by Shawn Ryan and starring Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson and Peter Onorati. The show’s original music is composed by Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Unit, Timeless). Madison Gate Records has released a digital single featuring new version of the theme from the 70s series performed by Duncan. Lifetime’s ‘Flint’ to Feature Music by John Debney
John Debney has composed the music for the Lifetime original movie Flint. The film is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy) and stars Betsy Brandt, Jill Scott, Marin Ireland and Queen Latifah. The drama is inspired by the Time Magazine cover story The Toxic Tap by Josh Sanburn and tells the true story of a woman who deals with the toxic water scandal in Flint, Michigan, and the effect it has on her family. Barbara Stepansky (Hurt) wrote the script. Craig Zadan & Neil Meron (Hairspray, Empire, Smash) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Latifah and journalists Katie Couric and Shakim Compere.

The show’s original music is composed by Carly Paradis (Line of Duty, True Justice). Prime Suspect 1973 is a based on Lynda La Plante’s Tennison novel is a prequel to the original Prime Suspect series and centers around a 22-year-old Jane at the start of her career in 1970s London. Premiering tomorrow, May 29, is the new ABC drama Still Star-Crossed created by Heather Mitchell, executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and starring Grant Bowler, Wade Briggs, Torrance Coombs, Dan Hildebrand, Lashana Lynch, Ebonee Noel, Medalion Rahimi, Zuleikha Robinson, Sterling Sulieman, Susan Wooldridge and Anthony Head. The show’s original music is composed by Photek who also scores the Rhimes-produced ABC drama How to Get Away with Murder. The series picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, fight for power and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. Lifetime’s ‘Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland’ to Feature Music by Zack Ryan
Zack Ryan has composed the original score for the new Lifetime original movie Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland. The film is directed by Dianne Houston and stars Navi in the title role, alongside Chad L. Coleman and Sam Agedoke. The movie is based on the best-selling book, Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days, by Bill Whitfield, Javon Beard & Tanner Colby and centers on the hidden drama that took place during the last two years of the pop star’s life. Elizabeth Hunter (Jumping the Broom, The Fighting Temptations) wrote the script and Suzanne de Passe (Sister, Sister), Madison Jones, Robert Teitel (Barbershop, Men of Honor) and Peter McGuigan are executive producing the project.

Mary Kills People centers on a single mother who is an ER doctor by day, but by night, she and her partner, a former plastic surgeon, moonlight as underground angels of death and help terminally ill patients slip away on their own terms. Premiering on Tuesday, February 14, is the Netflix original movie Girlfriend’s Day directed by Michael Stephenson and starring Bob Odenkirk, Amber Tamblyn, Natasha Lyonne. The film’s original music is composed by Bobby Tahouri (Husk, Across the Hall, Rise of the Tomb Raider video game). Girlfriend’s Day follows an unemployed greeting card writer must who gets caught up in a conspiracy and must create the perfect card for a new holiday to save his skin. The comedy will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday.
Premiering in the U.S. on Saturday, February 18, is the BBC Earth documentary series Planet Earth narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception) has composed the show’s main theme. Jacob Shea (Through the Wormhole) and Jasha Klebe (Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom) have written the score for Bleeding Fingers Music.
